i do not work in "reviews, deals and codes" for the time being
maybe M4D M4X will return one day, but until then:

Interesting. That’s going to be one floody light for sure. What kind of amp draw will the boost driver be pulling from the battery to get 2800? 6amps+?
My Favorite Modded Lights: X6R, S8 , X2R , M6, SP03
Major Projects: Illuminated Tailcap, TripleDown/TripleStack Driver
i assume 60-100% more than emitter amps depending on cell voltage
reflector looks quite deep

21kcd from a XHP-70 in a small OP reflector!? If this is true this light has some crazy output
USB power meter/tester thread
Now that’s different?
KB1428 “Live Life WOT”
So is that?
Makes me want to get one just to try it!
KB1428 “Live Life WOT”
This is a pretty cool light. It has similar performance to my triple XPL V6 2C (dome on) with cute-3 SS optics. Similar head size in the solar storm K2 host I have it in (40mm). Running at about 9.6A, the triple has 22kcd.
This XPH 70 light might have some advantages depending on how efficient and well regulated the boost driver is, and whether it can be modified to send more current.
And the body is 4.5mm thick.
$130? Dang. I’ll wait for reviews.
Take a look at that battery. Is that a double contact head? Another specialty battery? I do like the bold steps into MEGA bright realms their taking. This also begs for a 26650 format. 4.5mm wall thickness, love that heat sinking. 231grams/7.5 ounces.
Wow very cool light that’s for sure. Didn’t expect to see that $130 price tag tho.
I’ll be in for a group buy though. I have several nitecore’s so I do not need to wait for a review, I love their lights.
Wow! Now they need to make a 26650 version.
This is not good… but if it works with any 18650, it is good. I will wait for some review.
If anything can go wrong, it will.
Matter will be damaged in direct proportion to its value.
I bet that special battery was needed to make the mode switch in the tail work.
No, the special battery is not what’s needed to make that mode switch in the tail to work.
I have the nitecore p20, and it has the same tail cap mode features, and any 18650 works.
I hope we would be able to use our own 18650 because I’m sure we can squeeze a bit more lumens out from a 30Q.
But anyways, I have a nitecore 16340 cell, and it was actually very close to my AW imr surprisingly.
So it’s not all too bad.
That part where they state that the battery can be charged in “most universal charges”. It says to me only our battery will work in this light. Streamlight does this with two contacts on one end and a contact on the opposite. In Nitecores picture it’s Bottom and top center charging. Top center and top ring for running the light. Then bottom and top center for mode changing and on/off. This so cheap #$%fire don’t explode. With the light off still going to have that parasitic drain.
$130?
Better be good
Very impressive output for a single-cell boost driver. I don’t think I’ve seen any reports of higher.
Wow, maybe my new EDC contender.
I’ve had EDC-ing P10 and now P20, i just love that two switch on the tailcap setup.
I lean more towards the idea that the special feature if the cell is that it is a protected IMR. That would make sense since it seems this light is aimed at the LEO/Security user, who usually isn’t all that up on Li-Ion in general and the care and treatment of IMR cells in particular. With a protection circuit Nitecore is making sure that the cell is not drained to the point of damage. I know someone here or at CPF will drop a regular high drain IMR cell in to see what happens, and let us know.
You don't really need a parachute to skydive. But you DO need one if you want to skydive twice!

Can I get the code please.
+1
Code please
Looks nice, but I’ll pass due to the proprietary battery and price.
Boycott Nike
Still waiting for a review
4.5 mm wall thickness, sounds very tough.
Up
Same here. I am waiting for some reviews and beam shots to get a better idea on real world performance. I currently have the Fenix TK 16 and I am very happy with it. I wouldn’t want to go any bigger for an EDC.

I get mine Monday or Tuesday I’ll post beamshots
I wait for a real review and I want to know if it works with a generic battery, if it only works with its dedicated battery I do not want it, but if is a gift maybe I accept it
