Well I went to Maine, and used my l6. It was great, but I would like an easy way to carry it. I use the box it came In To transport, but I found myself putting it down on the boat a lot, and honestly it’s kind of big to carry on a long hike all day, just to use that night. If it were in a holster that would not be an issue.
I would prefer a secure holster that I could use dirtbiking and hiking.
Any ideas?
That is a good question! I’m interested in it too. I also using the original box for transport it in my bag.
I got a fairly big camera lens bag it fits in - no link though.
I fount this DSLR camera lens bag on ebay. Maybe the tailcap will not be in the bag but the tactical ring can be in. Or you can find the same as this but shorter and you can cover only the head with it. It’s better than nothing.
Or this water bottle bag with shoulder strap.
Or in this you can carry some spare batteries too.
I was probably the first one who recommended that holster for the L2. I tried it on the L6 - uhh, not quite fitting too well. Can't close up the top flap over the head.

does anyone remember the old long maglights 3-6d cells there was a belt ring for it jsut on your belty a loop and then a ring to slide the mag inside not caver at all but easy to carry would something like this fit ??
i cant check it here we have almost zero maglights for sale here…

€16 to EU is a lot for a ring to attach to a belt.
The idea however, hmmm useful for other things as well.

I am thinking about some DIYing with the big ring idea. Use paracord to make loops and hang things on belt.
Should be useful to have a few of those, not only for the S70 and L6 (just love use the S70 as purse so will use a lanyard and S70 belt to carry the L6 the same way) but also for having axes at hand working with the chainsaw and basic tools working in the house.
But it seems even my bigger axes fit the maglite ring and this is not expensive so I might just order a few of those.
I went for the one I did as opposed to the “ring” type as it protects the lens :+1:

Nice but I like the tactical ring on my L6 and with that doesn’t fit in.
A JM26 head is listed at 63.4 mm while a L6 is listed at 75 mm. No one said they tried it. 64 mm heads, like an L2, fit fine in the Niwalker one, but the L6 doesn't fit.
It does come off. I use the tactical ring with a sling, or strap. But for Hunting/ working, the Tac ring / sling comes off and the light is holstered. Just my .002 cent! It’s nice to have choices!
I have the Acebeam K70 holster, the L6 fits but the cover is loose. Need to add another piece of velcro to tighten it up? The Tac ring fits no problem! I’ll alter it if I can’t find something tighter, doubt I’ll ever use the K70 for service or field work, the L6 is much more handier!
