I'm mainly curious about the status on the updated AA/14500 CQG or whatever the brand is supposed to be. Is it an updated CQG S2? Tracking the multiple threads gets a little confusing so maybe we can clear it up here. I'm interested in this particular flashlight because it will have tailcap clicky vs a twisty switch. I know the other "world's smallest" has twisty so I'm trying to figure out if it's the S2 that is supposed to get an updated driver. Also, will it still come with XP-E? That part I'm not as concerned about but I'm still curious about the bin.
Correct. It is the S2 that will get an updated driver. The goal is current control and 14500 support. Hopefully Ric will get the sample soon and be able to tell us more and if it works out the way we hope.
Think it's an xpg not the xpe ..anyway he said about 2 weeks ..when does the holiday begin and end ? sounds like the dqg11AA and the s2 AA wil come out almost at the same time ..I'm buying both

Oh really? Ric and some posters were discussing the XP-E so I figured he was sticking with that. XP-G would be great because I'd prefer more flood in this one anyway. The DQG has twisty and will cost more so I'll pass, although it looks pretty nice.
I'm not trying to rush Ric. I've been curious and just wanted to make sense of all the talk.
I'm still waiting for the aaa but the aa sounds interesting.
