I’d buy one — or several — if I could swap in amber emitters (for late night reading).
I’d like to see one taken apart to figure out if it’s easy to modify and improve.

Do you really need a lamp to see your tablet?

You do for an older e-paper Kindle that did not have a back light.

Hi Melven,

Yes,  kindle 1 and kindle 2 and many other e-books need an extra clip-on light to read in the low light conditions

Nice to meet you!

Hello Greenlight,

The lamp is for kindle e book readers.

Some kindles does not have a built in light.

Because of this, users need an external light source to read the Kindle, just as we  would with a traditional book.

Nice to meet you!

Got a beamshot? Curious because that looks like a ribbed reflector — concentric ridges — rather than orange-peel.
How sure are you that this is a genuine Cree brand LED as described? Can’t see it in the pictures.

Anybody bought these and gotten them who can comment?
