Personal opinion of course …….

When they sell their battery division it will be difficult to make new cells.
But the buyer will probably continue the development and probably with the same people.

I do not disagree and in fact it is quite logical, because the company has announced some time ago, that would deal more with the construction and development of lipo batteries.
But I’ve read about some new technology from the company, which will come to market in 2020 from Sony and is far superior to the current batteries.

It is not new in fact.

Launched in 2008, but now has reached the final stage and will see it on the market as Sony since 2020.
The goal of the company is the vehicle electrification …….. of course ….

There are other companies that have already such batteries by 2015 and earlier.
Some of them have implemented up aeronautical structures.

Sony has however stated that it will take the form that we know all of us, as 18650 ………….
This is the main reason that leads me to believe that it will not stop to produce batteries with its own name.

But ………….. you never know of course what makes a company this size ……….

It is one of the leading companies in this industry.
So I find that hard to stop construction of the Li-Ion 18650.

Bought 4 from nkon.nl for 6.5eur piece, cant wait to see if they are worth buying instead of 30Q because 30Q has very good price/performance ratio.

That price is for EU countries i guess with VAT calculated, 6.5 eur on ru.nkon.nl without VAT for non-EU countries.

4x VTC6 shipped to the US is €31 or $34… Not bad at all! Probably a good idea to order them now before they go out of stock or counterfeit versions shows up.

It's $35.59 US on PayPal for qty 4, least for me. wink

They are on Alibaba now: https://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/Factory-price-of-battery-rechargeable-for_60470551627.html?spm=a2700.7724857.0.0.ns0xzD, so just a matter of time for US and China retailers to get them, I'd think.

Wow! Now I see why I disregarded these at first because of the broken curves: the 80ºC cutoff. Facepalm

They indeed deliver more power than VTC5's.

Lets just say i am well prepared for the upcomming alocalypse m8 Smile

Anyway, VTC5A seems to be the leader . i tested VTC6, VTC5A,VTC5, 30Q, HG2 , HE2 and 25r with several of my FET DD drivers and results are:

VTC5A>VTC6>VTC5>HE2>25R>30Q>HG2

The difference between VTC6 and VTC5A is like 80-100ma, while between VTC5A and 30q like 400-450ma

yet overal its the best FET DD battery so far, i will swap batteries in all my throwers asap

Do your tests look at amps immediately or after a delay, or over a period? What about the charge level? All equal and to what level?

Dang, just got am email from IMRBatteries too. They probably bought qty 1,000 (714 in stock showing) from an Alibaba wholesaler - figured can make a nice profit while they're fresh and hot. They usually FedEX them, but even DHL is super fast.

Get this - I ordered a SKYRC MC3000 charger yesterday (Tuesday) from GB with a coupon code, so paid $88 and they offered free DHL. The package is expected to arrive at my house  tomorrow!

Yea, based on DHL tracking, it's on schedule. Go figure - GearBest. Who would have thought? It's gonna easily beat my 3 other GB orders in shipping now - must be available for a min amount of the order?

Dang again, down to 696. Hot cakes, I tell ya, hot cakes! Update: 693

Its possible quickest I had was 3 days and it was with ems. They shipped it was in the states like 16 hours. Flew right through customs in like two hours and was on its way. I guess ems works differently. Mail had already ran for the day and mail lady came back with it

Depends what you order as well. I asked about quicker shipping for batteries and they said they only can ship lithium batteries one method

I ordered 2 for now, At $10 each these won’t be used on a regular basis, only for testing the limits of the mods…

682 in stock now

At this rate I highly doubt it will last through the week…

I forgot about this. I hope it does not hold true with mine.

VEN is from England and on CPF.

Still waiting for my battery man to get the vtc6 anyway, as they are grade B right now(unknown age/storage conditions i am led to believe). So he would not buy any from his HK source/warehouse.

As long as there at there original voltage prbsblt be just fine. You know a difference in grade a and b can be like 30mah difference from manufacturing specs. The cells are fairly new I believe they couldn’t have been stored that long to really make a difference. I have some old sony laptop pulls with at least several hundred cycles that just won’t die. Still crank out 5 amps and maybe a 150-200mah capacity loss from original. I will give Sony that. They make a solid battery

Lately , i have seen a big difference in amp draw , from 30Q (from different batch each one ) .

Older 30Q’s give 250-300mA more , compared to newer 30Q’s , in the same setup .

I have 4 coming my way , so i will make a little comparison when they are here.

They have 523 right now, they had 200 more 12 hours ago.

I picked up a couple as I didn’t have any…. and it sounds like they will be very difficult to get.

Yeah this is what I am thinking too. I can get 4 30q’s for about 17 bucks.
