Unbranded / Copy of Nitecore EZ AA R2 ??

...On Taobao:

http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?id=10815779541

If I'm correct, the price is 97CNY ...which translates to ~15$

Is there anyone who can read chinese and proof if I'm right or wrong?

Maybe someone who lives in China ? Some group buy ?

...Gotta stop browsing Taobao...

:) Many prices are very good on Taobao. But.... there's to add : Shipping inside China and Shipping from China to you. And if the dealer cannot speak English add extra cost for the "speaker"

Nice looking light and you've introduced me to taobao! :)

If you MisterTao it then it's about $25 shipped to Poland and the USA

Or you can buy a real one from me :).

.If someone buys one of these let me know I'm curious .. looks like a 100% clone

I've got one... As far as I know they are identical (never handled a true blue EZ AA). Tint is very very white, I like very much. I've modded mine with a QTC, it had two modes originally. Very nice light!

Sweet! $25 shipped? I'm in

yep, $23.97 with registered Air Mail to Calif, USA

Looks nice…count me in.

Bought two. They arrived

They look to be genuine Nitecore flashlights, only without company markings. I don't have my sister's EZ AAw right now, but I compared them to EZ123, I own. The ano quality is exactly the same, the knurling pattern and grippiness are also the same. Overall fit and finish indicate Nitecore factory origin.

One light came with very light OP reflector, the second came with normal OP. The LED used in these flashlights is based on EZ900 die (more throw) and it's on the cool side of color temperature. Same in both cases.

Twist action is typical for EZAA, however, these particular lights require well over a full turn to go from low to high mode. Original EZ series flashlights had a tiny solder drop on the circuit where the spring touches it (thus, the distance between spring end and circuit was shorter). Apart from that, all looks to be the same as in retail Nitecore EZAA.

No PWM (lights are current controlled in both modes). Four lanyard holes in the tail and 1/4'' photo thread. Just like retail EZAA. The flashlights came in carton boxes, but the boxes were squashed during transit so not good for gift. No scratches, no dents, no ano missing. Definitely they're not factory rejects. Apart from flashlights, there were also lanyards added, but no spare o-rings or anything other.

Overall, I'm happy with this purchase. Probably will buy a few more. :)

And some pics:

Wow that are some very nice looking lights!

Even for under $25

Thanks *hug and kiss*.....pretend I'm Italian or French or something .

I ordered one.

Thanks Coolperl.

How fast did they arrived?

It seems the ones on Intl-Outdoor are getting fewer, so I guess people are buying them.

The shipping to Poland took almost two weeks. But we had a holiday on 1st November. Otherwise, it would arrive 2 days faster. The time, mistertao needed to buy them from Taobao seller and arrange everything to ship to me was about a week. I got some pictures of items prior to shipping, tracking number, etc.

They have sent it via China Post which is a bit slower than HK Post. Usually China Post requires 8-10 days to arrive. HK Post is faster and I get parcels within 6-7 days. The package was registered, so I had to sign for it.

By the way, Hank from intl-outdoor, also sends with China Post. I hope to receive Crelant 7G5 very soon. If it arrives safe and sound, proving that Hank takes a good care of products&shipment, I will buy another one from him.

the ones i have are xpe-r2's... .The xpe-r2 emitter is much different & the reflector is very different .

These look like the older nitecore ezAA about 3 years ago when they used the xre . .

On Pdf @ Nitecore site.

Manual indicates that protected Li-ion is OK.

"2. DO NOT use rechargeable Li-ion batteries without safety circuit."

The light isn't any brighter on a 14500... the nitecore isn't ..if this light is brighter on a 14500 then you know something is different ...

When i got the EZAA's I wasn't really impressed and I liked the EX-10 1000% better .I was actually very happy that they sold so well ...Since then..after using them for months I like it more and more ..i still like the other nitecores better but this is a great light for many reasons ..I hope these turn out to be as nice .

Thanks for the review coolperl, just bought one!

Oh... 14500 work. The flashlight is brighter, so as original EZ AA.

I've got a couple of EZ AAs, EZ123 and all of them worked on 14500/RCR and were brighter than on primaries / NiMH. You can check the specs and values in selfbuilts review:
