A thread to show of and celebrate your Old-Lumens creation.

There must be hundreds of flashlights and assorted items that has had the Old-Lumens magic wand, Hat waved over them out there. This post is to try and get pictures on as many objects modded or created by Justin, Grad in the one place. If you can link to the original build/mod thread of the item you own even better. Smile

I have not had the luck of owning any of Justin’s lights… Love the work with the venerable Mags. I will be watching this thread to see what comes out of the woodwork!

This is the link to the light a kind member bought for me.

http://budgetlightforum.com/node/24619

A picture with it in Old-Lumens hands

And a picture where it resides now. Justin was also kind enough to post over a couple of Defiant 3C’s for me to mod as well of which one is in this picture.

The file work here has to be seen to believed how good it really is. I’d go as far to say it’s better than my machine work.

Great idea, MRsDNF.

This is one of two O-L lights I own. This one is a tricked out FandyFire Rook set up to run on three NiMH cells in series. The driver came from Dr. Jones. All the details can be found” here”:http://budgetlightforum.com/node/17472.

Shown here, next to what was, until the COMETA came into my life, the worst POS flashlight I owned- thank you, NC, you still are banned at my house.

I also have a 3xAA Maglite that was reworked by O-L. It doesn’t seem I have a picture of it, but I’ll get one and post it up.

Don't be confused, my Username has been changed from "Cone" to "T.H.Cone".  I'm still the same clown.

I have 2 Old-Lumens touched lights. They arrived within weeks of each other. As I recall, I was starting to believe I would never win one of Justin’s lights. I selectively entered his giveaways and waited for for just the right sale of his. Either they were out of my budget or someone beat me to it. Justin mentioned that he would entertain modding jobs. I reached out to him about modding a Ultrafire F-13 for me. At the time a sale on F-13’s for $8.99 was active. This light had some mod potential and the versatility of running both a single 18650 or 26650. He agreed and charged me a very modest fee. The XML2 emitter ruled at the time, so in went one with a 3.04A driver. Strangely enough, while waiting for the light parts from Richard to arrive at his workshop, I won a ‘NoFire’ [unbranded] HD2010 with mystery internals. OL didn’t remember what he had done to it. At the time he had several 2010’s that he was modding, evaluating and making videos of for a possible future BLF group buy. I forgot what the tail cap readings were on the HD2010. But I compared it to a coworkers Sunwayman T40CS one evening while on night shift. No question about it the coolish 2010 [20R battery] beat the more neutral SWM . The giveaway light had a noticably broader beam and farther throw. Direct drive high, PWM med and low, strobe, flash no memory.

UF F-13 mod + beam shots

HD2010
Have enjoyed them both proudly.
I would like to offer them both towards the auctions for O-L.
I’ll cover postage [USPS-CONUS].
If the auction coordinator will PM me, we can workout the details.
Both used gently 97.5% condition imho.

Nice lights flashination and two of my favourites until the quality of the F13 went down hill. I modded a dozen or so and s far as I know they are all still going.
Nice gesture on the auction. Thumbs Up

3 years or so I guess. I’d have to dig through either threads or pm’s to find out. Edit, found it several pages back in his WTS threads.

Well, there is one person who has most of the lights ever made. I think he will probably start a museum when I'm gone, LOL. Can't disclose who, but I think he had to build an addition to house all of them. wink

Great thread, my favorite so far is the quad thing SB has. Pretty sure slow2go is the king of OL lights, he bought a truckload of Justin’s lights. As of now slow2go has 202 posts so he probably has about 150 OL lights. Just about all of his posts are “I will take it” in OL sales threads.
