Rainbow PVD? Hmm... How can you tell if it is using that method?

Yes, why i decided to cancel the “Heat Treatment” from my purchase. It looks funny to me too. Like a coating that will wear off.
Please check mcpcb, is it still manker?
Is this the X6 driver Board with the free space for bleeder resistor and the tailcap with place für LED and resistor? Plastic-Washer in the Tailcap?
Are the threads the same as the black version?
Has the XP-G3 a yellow tint? White Wall shots please.
Whats the weight without battery, clip and lanyard?

I’ve no clear idea how it works, but as far as i can tell from pictures on the web, heat treated steel does not produce such ‘supernatural’ rainbows. They look more faded, sometime uneven… not the full spectrum… When it looks so good it probably is some sort of cosmetic finish i would think?
Yeah, I’m not so keen about the “heat treating” anymore. I think I will stick with standard light SS instead. If you’re still updating the list, please change mine from heat treated to normal (with the 18650 tube).

If it is indeed rainbow pvd coated like it appears to be the finish should actually be quite durable. Much more so than bare non magnetic stainless which will scratch very easily. I just don’t personally like the rainbow finish with the copper. Now an all blue pvd like on some of the Olight bezels would be sweet.
Please tell, before its too late for preordering. I want to wait for a review to answer my questions.

perhaps I will order one an lego with mine.
Edit:
Please two flashlights:
Nichia with 18650 tube.
XP-G3 heat threated with 18650 tube
Why are the manufactured materials listed different? On the heat treated page for the s41 shows is made of aluminum while on the non treated page it shows its made of stainless steel?

In for 1 Nichia SS pre-order. Will S41S threads mate with A6 tubes?
Poor Freeme, he told us they are glued yet we still want to see the insides so bad, it is very hard to hold our horses!
Thanks for asking for dome patience Freeme, we now know you will battle the glue and be victorious!
I could access the pill portion easily as the cheap glue wasn't that strong ... but optic was glued to the inner rim of the pill. I tried to pop up the optic by force but I failed. Excessive force would scratch the inner side of the optic and leave ugly tool marks. Not good at this stage as I have not done beam shot and tint comparison.

Possibly, they want to hide that the manufacturer is probably still manker.

No that would not make sense… They send Freeme a sample knowing the audience so knowing there is a 99,9% chance of us wanting to see the inner parts.
Idk but the glue was mentioned before and so was another manufacturer and if they wanted to do it sneaky it would have been much easier not to glue and use a ledboard and driver without branding. So with what we now know it seems pretty straight forward and honest.

Hi,
Is the list in the OP updated? I think the quoted above from #142, isn’t on the list in the OP?
Thanks,
Jim

Heat gun would probably release optic. But what a bummer..
