Its no surprise to me that standard CFL's still have one of the highest lumen per watt ratios... especially in name brand CFL's. For the price of LED's for household illumination, they still have a long way to go before becoming even remotely cost effective. Im still waiting for the LED revolution that has been spoken of for several years. In many countries (including the US) the government often subsidizes the cost of CFL's to the consumer. In the US, they can often be found on sale between $0.50 - $1.00 each.
