10180 clicky?

I do like 10180 format flashlights like Hobi Ti, the only thing annoying me is the twisty head.

What do you think about a 10180 flashlight, albeit several mm longer because of the button?

I think it would be great! I would be interested in seeing one made, although I don’t have any funds right now to purchase. Another possibility might be side e-switch (don’t really know how much possibility there is but I like the idea of it).

There is the CQG S3
It’s NiMH but could be modded for 10180 or 10250.

S3 is 64 mm long, just 6 mm shorter than AAA Mini.

Hi,

I know that the OP said that he didn’t care for the twisty UI, but some lights, like the Wuben 10180s, have a different kind of twisty UI, where as you tighten the head, the mode changes. So, with those, you have to twist and untwist (is that a real word) the head, but only just keep turning in the same direction to change modes from low to high.

Sorry if this is tangential…

Well, some of that length is probably due to the boost driver needed to run off NiMH and some of the length is the cell size (10250 size, basically). So, maybe somebody could contact CNQ about making a new light based on that S3, but shortened, with a linear driver, and made for 10180 instead of 1/2AAA. Manufacturers have been known to do this sort of thing, if enough people show interest. Group Buy?

I’m in

ohaya,
thanks, never heard of that thing.

I’m not talking about lights with control ring (or tail), like the MTN HF 10250,
I want Spy-Hoby-style light with a button on its tail. And I believe I’m not the only one.

My JetBeam Mini 1 has that feature. Twisting the head starts it out on low. Twist a little more, it’s now on high. I like the UI a lot.

I know, they’re all the same.
I want to push a button. Push. A. Button.

I get it

Yeah, and I said linear driver, but I’m secretly hoping they fit a FET +1 driver in there. :innocent:

Guys, I’m not a Chinese guy, but hope they see it one day

smallest clickie I can think of is not 10180 and its not budget priced, uses CR2 batteries and is about 1/4” shorter than my AAA Olight i3s

OMG 160 lm for 385 bucks and a black rubber button!

The price is WAY beyond ridiculous. It’s worth $40 at best

MecArmy FM11- 10180 + clicky

I’d rather see the light pointing out the end, instead of the side. And $60 is too high. Needs to be about half that!

You are not the only one. I want the same thing.

All the 10180 lights here are twisties, but a useful review/survey:
