Just like the subject states. Are there any reasonable 3/4 cell 26650 lights?
I just received my Convoy L6 and it takes me back to my old 6 celled Maglite days, almost. I think a larger light might do the trick.
I am sure the folks here know a LOT more than I.
So, my question.

I can’t imagine 4 26650s in series. That would make me feel very uncomfortable. To me it’s just too much to go wrong. But I’m just a noob and I know when I’m out of my depth, that’s why I’d be very cautious.
But you asked… The L2 comes with an extension tube for a 2nd cell. That tube also screws onto an L6. That would give you 3 cells. If the tube can be purchased separately another tube would give you 4 cells. I have no idea if the electronics would handle it, only that the extension tube screws into place.
If you go that route please get back to us to let us know how it works. If everything holds together you’d get some fantastic runtime. I’d be far more comfortable just carrying extra batteries in a plastic case if it’s runtime you’re looking for. If you want it as an impact weapon there are other things that will hold up better for that use IMO unless you want a sort of socially acceptable impact weapon. No one really wants to use a light as an impact weapon, that’s just plain dangerous (as in potentially deadly) if one isn’t schooled in using one for that. The impact weapons that I’m thinking of are readily available over the ’net. They can even be had in electrical stun versions that only require a touch to the skin. It’s up to you how long you touch the perp and press the button. I don’t think it would be pleasant and it wouldn’t surprise me if they lost their bodily functions. Urine conducts electricity better than dry skin if you get my drift.
If its big multi 26650’s then here you go; Trustfire TR-J20 takes 3 26650 or 32650, Trustfire AK-90, Trustfire AK-91, UltraFire LW-18T6 this last one takes 3-5 26650 or 32650.

OK, I just couldn’t imagine why anyone would want a light so ungainly. To my mind it would only be as a weapon. When one can buy an L6 and have a state of the art light and just carry spare battery packs why have such a honkin’ huge light? I don’t need (or want) the answer; I’m just trying to give you what I was thinking. You want what you want and that’s a good enough reason.
