This was a four color LED tactical strobe maglite I built for a customer a few years back. Its intent was to disorient an opponent. Individual Red, Green, Blue, and White LED emitters were used, with 4 driver boards pulsating separate strobe frequencies. Ideal for use against aggressors in a zombie apocalypse!

I think it’s pretty cool. Is it a dedicated strobe only light? Do you have any clue on how many lumens the strobe is? Are you only able to put this in a mag light? It would be nice to have something like this more pocket friendly.
Yes, it was a strobe only. This light was made back when XRE was the thing if I recall. So the total volume of light would have been around 500 lumens or so I think. It does take a fairly large host to do these because 4 drivers were needed.
If one of the smarty pants programmers like DrJones made a single driver programmed for this it could work in a smaller light, but it would still be slightly less intense. Part of the wildness of this came from there being some separation between the LEDs so the fired from different angles.
It has very cool strobe effect. I feel headache only by watching the video so no doubt it can freak the hell out of someone.
