Well if you go for a “L style” light that is compatible with all inner parts and accessories of the C8 Simon would get a C8 sized, same output light of course.
But in case of a smaller L light, please use this C8 bezel and update the L2 and L6 so they lose the ring of bulges on the top for those take away a lot of the visual appeal of them, add weight and machining for no clear advantage.
It would make the L series more classy and appealing to more IMHO.

Your opinion is noted but there is no plan to change the L2 and L6 design. I also wholeheartedly disagree with your opinion. Silly
Personally I like the looks of the L2 and L6 a lot. I consider them among the most visually appealing in my collection.

The new bezel does look sweet on the C8 though! Cash

Coming very soon to a Convoy store near you.

The price is being kept below $6 and if that’s not sweet enough, Simon will give his BLF friends the standard 15% discount for those who ask.

Cheers

Great news! It looks really sharp – and very sharp too.
It’s been a while since this idea was put forth. Another great product of BLF dynamics. Beer (where is the glass of wine icon?)
Going to check Simon’s store rightaway…

+1 to that….. Thumbs Up .. “To me”, both the L2 & L6 just look like what a light of that size should look like….. “pretty much prefection”. Wink
IMO of course….. Smile

Well L6/L2 design is more of an Original Unique design, more so than a ripped off copy of the Jaxman X6 Hunter with a E-switch! Facepalm

The Eagle Eye X6? Yes I like that design a lot.
And the Jax hunter too. If I see a good WTS deal on it I’ll probably scoop it up Wink

Please forgive me if this has been asked before but do the old and new C8 bezels swap? I have one with the removable pill which legoes the tubes with an equally old M1, the only difference being the M1 tube has a brass insert where the C8 tube was reamed to fit past the aluminum driver retaining cap.

Three Tanna leaves to give him life, nine to give him movement. But what if he eats the whole bag?

Love the way it looks on the black C8, not so much on the clear one

Just checked, and yes, they are interchangeable.
Actually looks quite nice with the not so matte older bezel on the matte newer C8 Smile

I don’t think so. I’ve been watching Simon’s shop like a hawk. Stainless steel will be an excellent addition to the C8.

J-Dub74 can Simon build a C8 tailcap with the switch in a raised position?
This will mean that lanyard hole will be no longer in place and flashlight no longer tailstands.

It would be great if it could be build with ss.
Let’s Lego C8!

I was watching too. Nothing, nada, zilch. And than I saw this SS bezel on the Banggood site.
Is this what we are talking about? Is this a hijack, or does Simon need to update his website.

I’m waiting for Simon to tell me what’s up here. I know they are ready but I don’t know why BG already has them listed and he does not. Probably just too busy to get the listing up quickly. Maybe I opened my mouth too soon? Oops
I didn’t expect BG to get them at all really but I’m sure they are legit. Those are certainly the same stainless C8 bezels Simon showed me pictures of. I’ll post an update as soon as I hear back.

Convoy’s listing is LIVE!

BangGood is cheaper but I’d rather support Simon directly even though BangGood’s shipping is faster.

Many thanks to J-Dub for making this possible.

Man you people always beat me to my own news! Big Smile

Yes, it’s a go. Beautiful SS bezel

You’re quite welcome but there’s another person to thank here.

Simon had thrown in the towel on this project until I asked 5ar to help me help Simon “see” exactly what I was asking him to create.

A well done rendering is worth a thousand words. Thumbs Up

There are plenty of pics of C8 with SS bezels on the web, and they are made with the methods of the day, when the C8 was still a new-ish design.
You can tell this new bezel is made in a more modern way, by the shapes of the crenelation.
This is what disappointed me a little, because the C8 itself is more old fashioned classic looking.
But i suppose i’m a bit of a style w4nker…

I will buy one or two though. Smile
