Atleast they're not completely lying

3100 mAH 18650s... actually 2500 mAH

... why even mention the 3100 mAH capcity

Because it sells to the masses, my favourite quote is " i bought the 4000mA because it had best capacity to price value"

i noticed that with dx... they will say like 3100 mah, actually 2500 mah. alot of there batteries are like that. but how accurate are their specs?

i think they do it because it will be marked 3100 on the battery. maybe they are factory rejects?

/tosses salt over the shoulder

Dont trust the "other" spec anyway. Either way, only true user testing will be trusted. Specs are to sell to those who are not as well informed, and these companies are looking for the once off sales, a quick buck, not like their after a reputation or anything.

Even our trusted trust fires are a goner now

QFT !

I'm sure some of them are. And there are a ton of fakes on the market. In China, it's easy to buy packaging that is absolutely indistinguishable from the real thing because it's coming from the very same factory as the real thing. If there's even such a thing as "the real thing" in China. I'm into knives and it's not uncommon to get a fake knife with genuine packaging, whereas just a few years ago, you could easily spot the fake just by looking at the box.

As long as there is money in buying recycled cells in bulk and slapping a *fire wrapper on it, someone will do it.
