When the Chinese New Year Feast ends? I am worried I will receive nothing as I did not still pay nothing! I just put my name on the list but I don’t even know when and how to pay the GT. Of course they want money before to ship the light. Then what have I to do beyond to wait? Wait for what then?
Let me get this straight; you are throwing accusations of bias based on some of the boxes shipped via registered mail being damaged but, as of yet, No actual damage to the flashlights. For some reason in your mind there is a conspiracy to treat Europeans bad by Lumintop, and you think this can happen because the blf team isn’t respected. I thought that was wild enough, but then you post that you haven’t received your light, Hell you haven’t even paid for it. Why don’t you take a deep breath and relax until you get your pm to pay for your GT. All this crazy conspiracy talk is only making people nervous and giving TA something to respond to when you know that there is nothing he can do now, and even if he could, THEREHASYET TO BE DAMAGEANYWAY. I really don’t want to insult you, I just wanted to put your situation in context, and compared to the folks who have paid at the beginning of December and are still waiting, your situation is surely less dire.
Contigo and Blinker I am glad you enjoyed my anecdote. My grandmother has been a widow since my grandfather died 14 years ago. I know she doesn’t really do well when something interrupts her electricity flow and she panics while running around her dark house looking for candles, then her search resumes except this time its for matches. I have spent quite a bit of time educating her on how to operate led flashlights. Since I joined the blf i have been putting flashlights with a simple ui in each of her rooms, and she keeps one in her purse and the trunk of her car. I know it is overkill but I simply can’t stand the thought of her being scared while sitting in a dark house. When I showed her what the GT looks like she was in awe of it. By the way, she has mastered the art of tail standing the light in order to light the whole room with the ceiling bounce. Cheers!

Hello Giancarlo, You are number [1192 & 1555] on the list, so in the 2 / 3 group, wait a few weeks, then you will get a message with the link to buy the GT.
I was among the first 555 but i have no email or tracking number or any hint of an arriving GT yet…|
Should i be worried?
No, there are still about 50 orders not shipped and the last batch that was shipped the tracking numbers were not sent out. Martin has a list that he has been sending to people but we are not sure how accurate it is. It was obviously done in a rush. You can find the link to it in the OP.
TA, after LT, Neal are back from holidays, can you please ask them to first send out these 50 orders.
Thank you for your help.
Kind regards
Yes, the remaining orders are the first priority for sure. I am in no rush to send out the next round of PM’s, they will happen when they happen. They can save up some reflectors in the mean time.

Please stop posting pictured of your raggedy box. Do you think Lumintop wet and then crushed your box before sending it to you????? Pretty sure the shipping company is to blame. You stated your light is in great shape so all is good and you have a great light at a great price. Your complaining is helping nothing.

1. sometimes I hear the glass “click” or “pop”, almost like it’s cracking/bursting but then again it’s not. Very weird and not only when the light is on, but also when I do some soft “swinging” with it when off. Very scary!
2. the flat sides on the battery tube are completely off-line/off-center with the switch/button (perhaps this is meant to be or not, but esthetically it doesn’t look good and could be improved for the final product).
3. the black attachment-ring-hole on the head is also completely off-line/off-center with the switch/button (perhaps this is meant to be or not, but esthetically it doesn’t look good and could be improved for the final product).
4. the silver attachment-ring in the tripod-mount-hole is not horizontal in line with the head (perhaps this is meant to be or not, but esthetically it doesn’t look good and could be improved for the final product).
5. one of the small LED on the switch is shining brighter then the other (perhaps this is meant to be or not, but esthetically it doesn’t look good and could be improved for the final product).

All these alignment wishes are difficult to fulfill, it has to do with how threads work. Even if you design and manufacture and tighten it so precisely with the exact amount of force that all alignments are there, over time everything will shift again by wear of the threads and then your OCD starts striking up again. It is not a manufacturing fault, getting these alignments right requires a complete different way of joining two pieces (like bolting them together). Note that many high end flashlights have this exact alignment stuff going on.

Geez dude, every single one of those things has been thoroughly discussed.
Ok "dude", that's great! It means I'm not the only one noticing those small things
Now I'm looking for the "glass issue" but can't find it ... can't read everything everyday
Now I’m looking for the “glass issue” but can’t find it … can’t read everything everyday
Those cracking noises are related to thermal expansion/contraction in the same way you hear heaters or car engines ‘click’. I dont think there is anything to worry about.
Just got it and it is amazing!!! Thank You TEAMGIGGLES!!!!!!!!!
I did not ask M4D M4X for my tracking number so I have not followed the whereabouts of my GT, but this sounds like it may just be near.
are you at home?
The item has been delivered successfully
Thanks for checking
No, I’m at work at school, superintending a couple of pupils doing a test atm who are trying to determine the iodine content of betadine (and I’m surfing BLF ). It must be delivered to one of my neighbours (in the appartment complex where I live we all receive packages for each other, so that is perfectly fine).
Batteries and body arrived today. Packaging damaged here too, as You and one other posted stated before.
It is a good amount of moisture, probably dropped too.
This is a pic from the Carrier.
This end was on the “dropped” end of packet but I would not take a guess if its from manufacturing or if its from dropping.
Does not seem to be significant anyway…
Damn can´t open manual, it´s sludge….Lol.
“The END”. Anodizing has taken some hit. Again impossible to say if it´s from shipping or if it was there.
This was on the “intact” end of packaging.
BUT:
THEREWASTHATONETHIN layer of bubble wrap, so that the moisture DIDNOT get to batteries.
(To be honest, if I was shipping these, I would probably use a lot more)
Batteries would have maybe survived some moisture but I don´t like the idea of getting them wet & rusty on the contacts.
Just to be clear: All Batteries were dry, unharmed and at decent storage voltage.

Yah, I tail stand my Q8 just about every night before I go to bed. Your grandma is fortunate to have you for a grandson.
Not a flashlight guru, but like them just the same.

One thing you’ll hear only once in your lifetime:
So…i was on my porch…and i lit up my grandma…
@Nev , I hope You are fine.
