Looking for Simple Affordable Single AA Thrower w/Momentary Function and 2 Modes

Looking for Simple Affordable Single AA Thrower w/Momentary Function and 2 Modes, it needs to be simple for old pops to operate. Prefer momentary function and a simple 2 Modes UI as well as a smooth reflector with a warm tint.

Inova x1 is a great option. He might also like the 2AA indestructible light from Home Depot.

There are not a lot of two mode lights, anymore.

How about a xtar wk50 . Has 4 modes but does have momentary on according to a review here on BLF. Less than 8 bucks at the site linked, but only in the pink shown I think.

Just received the 3 wk50 I ordered. Lost one to the wife. She loved the color. Great little torch for less than 8 bucks.

I have 2 but gave them up to mom and daughter. I knew my dad would go crazy if he turned on the light each time to a different mode. Each time the momentary is used it changes brightness, same thing if you turn it off and on. I know this is the mode UI but I don’t like it constantly changing like this it annoys me and I dislike lights like this. I prefer a NITECORE UI. The tail has momentary but it does not change brightness, only the twisty head does and its 2 mode only programmable to the other modes. Much easier to use and usable momentary. I try to avoid the ui it has.

True it does change mode on each momentary push of the switch. Once turned on its on that mode til switched off. It does have last mode memory though if left off for a couple seconds. Sorry the recommendation didn’t work out for your dad.

I tried the 2 seconds and waited they both did have any memory. I did love the beam profile, size, and even the color was great because it was super easy to see wherver it was placed. I ended up ordering the jetbeam light I have no idea how the ui is but I’ll try that next. It’s no big deal, the last loves the light so does the little one and I’m glad the color is very noticeable.
