Unboxing:

The PF01S came to me in a small brown carton with the model number and brand name written across the box. Inside the bottom of the box was layer of foam and the light itself was nicely packaged in bubble wrap.
The instructions were folded neatly around the light and and there was a small packet with two extra o-rings placed inside.

First Impressions:

This flashlight is very small and fits in the palm of my hand. At a weight of only 32 grams without batteries and 42g grams with, It feels sturdy in the hand and grips well because of all the ridges on it.
It has a nice black finish and has a tactical look to it. The threading on the light was a little tough the first time I changed the batteries but after a few tries it loosened up and was smooth to turn.
The body of this light is made from aircraft-grade aluminum and has taken a three foot fall off the kitchen counter without a scratch. The emblem is etched on one side while the model number is etched in on the other.
The three settings are Firefly (0.5LM ) - Mid(50LM) - High(120LM). The lowest setting is enough to view a map or paper in the dark while the mid is perfect to find something in the car or even walk down a path with the dog.
The highest lumen setting is more than enough to use as a EDC especially in smaller spaces. Just used it to check out the water treatment tank in the basement and beats the hell out of the old 2xAA maglite I leave on there for that use. Running on only one single duracell AAA it’s quite impressive

The LED is well centered in the reflector and the lens looks to be scratch resistant.

The PF01S comes with a clip which is about 1/2 of the flashlights length. The clip is a perfect size and fits awesome in a jeans pocket.
Turning this light on is very easy and is done by the multifunctional tail switch at the end of the light. The switch is rubber and clicks to turn on and off but tap it and it goes through the three settings which is nice but feel a bit awkward and should
be a bit easier to do with one hand.It also has a memory to remember the last setting you were on.
