Hello from Virginia/Astrolux Question

I have always been a bit of a flashlight junkie but I am only now starting to build a collection. One of the lights I acquired recently was the Astrolux X6 SS. Unfortunately, it arrived without instructions and the Bistro firmware description I found online is not helping me. I would like to enable mode memory as my light arrived with this mode OFF. (I am under the impression that mode memory enabled is the default mode for this light.)

Can an experienced member either tell me how to do this or where I might find comprehensive instructions? Bear in mind that my knowledge of lights is fairly rudimentary.

Thanks, I have seen that document. Once I enter configuration mode, I have no clue what I am supposed to do next. I would want to reset to default settings and if that does not work, then I will want to enable the mode memory. And then, I would need to get out of the configurarion mode.

Have you seen this?

To enter config mode, turn the light on and do lots of fast half presses on the switch. At some point the light will turn off for like a second and then it will blink once for the first config option and then do a strobe for about 2 seconds. If you do nothing, it will go on with two bright flashes and strobe (this is the second config option)… you have to turn the light off for a few seconds while the 2 seconds of strobe to choose the option. If you press nothing the light will eventually exit the config mode after flashing bright 8 times and then strobing.

Hobo,

I had seen the diagram and the firmware text but I did not understand how to select and then change options. I do now, thanks to your explanation. My mode memory is now enabled.

Thanks!!!

Ken

You’re welcome! I also had to play around for a while to understand how it works.

I think your instructions should be added to the firmware text!

Thanks for stopping by, Kennyboy2!
