Can anyone recommend a good battery for the Nitenumen NE01. I recently purchased one from Gearbest after reading some reviews on this forum and because of its low price. I also purchased an LG HG2 18650 3000maH flat top cell for it after reading great reviews about it as well. Come to find out this cell seems to be too short to work correctly in the light. I tried another old 18650 cell I had in the light and it worked fine. Thanks in advance for your help.
Not a question of length, but the presence of the button top. To function, the battery for NE01, must be button top
Test how it charges, you might need a 4.35V cell
Better yet, never use the internal charging on any light unless there are positively no other options.
IMHO internal charging is a “for emergencies only” feature.
Also as was said the lack of a button top on the HG2 would be the reason for the issue.
I’m on the hunt for a suitable cell for the NE01 too, but I’m struggling based on the above - finding a button top protected cell that can take up to 4.35v is proving difficult. Is there such a cell? Using the inbuilt charging circuit is a major factor in choosing the light so it sounds like the right 18650 is important.
TA I do not agree if charging is done right it is very useful
Look at the Convoy BD series, these I dare gift away
And yeah if I can find a good cell for my NE01 I think it is a good present too
