0.96 inch diameter /18650 with very good throw

Please advise needed for a 0.96 to 1 inch pocket thrower.

Thanks!!

P12GT has the farthest throw I have ever seen from a 1” 18650 flashlight.

A little bigger i think , but check Nitecore mh20gt .

P12gt is a great tube light. I wonder how hard it would be to mod. Wouldn’t mind boosting the current another amp. Not full dd. But anyways. A eagle eye x6 is still easily pocketable. Its slightly over a inch head diameter. Maybe 1.5? But it can throw a long way stock. I have one with a dedomed xpg2/ and xml2 u4 1c rated over 500 yards. And I have one with a xpl2 w2 2b at around 1900 lumens. These lights have amazing throw for the size even stock its around 50k lux 3.5 amp turbo. Sending my last stocknx6 off to get a 219c 4000k nichia to check it out.

Probably the best you are going to get is a dedomed XPG2 in something like a convoy S2 smooth reflector. 35-40 Kcd.

That is a very specific size range there, would that happen to be so it can fit in a 25mm scope mount ring? If so you would be better off with a light that has that tube diameter but a larger head. Even slightly larger would help you get more throw options. Still in that same size range (slightly larger head) the Solarforce Y2 is a zoomie option that offers more throw than the reflector options. I did a custom one a little while ago and got 100kcd.

Yes, it is for mounting in a 1” scope mount ring.

Nice light that zoomie Y2, but I think it could not whitstand any recoil ??

This one - http://www.eagletac.com/html/px30lc2r/index.html or http://www.eagletac.com/html/p25lc2/index.html , I have both Eagtacs PX30/P25 & the Nitecore P12gt… both Eagtac’s are smaller/brighter with more throw.

okay, as soon as i read “one inch” I knew it was for gun mounting, lol…

1) i originally assumed i needed a 1” flashlight.
2) you can get scope rings in 30mm, commonly cheaply easily
3) you will really wanna “aim” the POI of the zoomie emitter…

…so may i suggest…

they ALSO make this same item where one of the mounts is attachable to a rail… and scope rings with built in rails to the top of them, etc etc…

scope rings also come up to 35mm i have found so far, so, you would consider lathe-ing a circle 35mm on a favorite flashlight that didnt otherwise “fit” if you had to…

Are you sure you have the P12GT and not the P12?
Because the GT has more throw than both those eagletacs…

That zoomie lights up perfect the POI I suppose .

I hope I don’t have too many artifacts from the led, purpose is for shooting 50 meter (55yd) benchrest with .25/6.35mm PCP airgun, bullseye is only 5mm (0.19”)

Not too heavy recoil, but I read that this Y2 pump zooming system is not so adequate, so it might shift the zooming after each shot (or I have to fix it permanentely)

Nice is that it only lit up the POI, you really don’t want to enlighten the whole neighborhood

O yes, I have also a Tiablo A10G R2 with anti-spill head…very nice but a little too big for my purpose (FX Impact pcp)

It’s the GT… The Eagtac’s w/ XPL-HI’s are brighter/more lumens and they have smaller more focused hot spots. Either Nitecore is overstating their kcd or Eagtac is understating theirs.

Gun mountable with lots of throw? Check out the Brinyte B158, especially the XP-L HI version (or red/green versions if for nighttime hunting). Nice beam, made for gun use. The action is the best of any twisty I’ve owned - nice and tight.
