Actual uses for a white diffuser cone?

What uses or senarios are there where one could use a white cone diffuser on a flashlight?

To light up a room or a tent. I’ve used one on a EA41 when up in my loft to move some stuff around. The EA41 and diffuser was more useful than a TK75 tailstanding

for visibility or safety/traffic…

For light painting photography, lighting up a room during a blackout, or as a camping light.

Great for traffic visibility when walking the dog. I started 3d printing them with translucent white filament - cost around $.5-1 each.

Just made one for a Warsun:

That is really neat!

Yo can use it as a illuminated dildo

Aliens are attracted to it.

Hilarious!

tent lighting
camp lighting
anywhere you need to be surrounded by light.
Its basically an easy way to turn any flashlight into a lantern.

Hang a flashlight with a white diffuser cone from the roof of your dome tent and you’ve got a lantern without needing to pack in a dedicated unit.

Especially when you have a buzzing bulb in it…

Or put it in a leaking dike (we are quite famous for that)…

So what you are saying is, it would be perfect for exploring an old cave.

How rude!

I use mine for lighting small areas or for traffic visibility

very cool. are you able to make them in different colors? say, a light tan/cream? so that it will have a warmer tint than bright white.

Just about any color you want. I don’t know if tan is available as a translucent filament so you might lose some of the lumens but it would definitely work.

My current bedside lamp is a Niteye EYE12 with a diffuser hanging from the bunk above me. Magnetic ring with many output levels, long runtime on AA, best lamp ever.
