Test/review of LiitoKala INR26650-50A 5000mAh (Cyan)

LiitoKala INR26650-50A 5000mAh (Cyan)

Official specifications:

  • Capacity: 5000mAh

  • Rated voltage: 3.6V

  • Full voltage: 4.2V

  • End-off voltage: 2.75V

  • Max discharge current: 20A (4C)

  • Internal resistance: 15 mohm

Fairly high capacity, good current and not that expensive, is this cell as good as it looks?

Discharge curve looks good, the tracks fairly well and capacity is nearly constant up to 15A.

At 30A the cell get hot enough that I terminates the test a bit early.

Conclusion

The cell live up to its rating and is one of the top performers for 26650 at the current time.

Was about time, again perfect from HKJ

I could say only not “one of” but the best, especialy considering its low int resistance, price , capacity and perormance

P.S

Something else,

HKJ reviewed the better part of those batteries, there are others( prolly fakes?, or made by another manifacturer, or God knows who) that aint that good, they look like this:

They have higher int resistance abd lower capacity

I have one matching cell in the comparator.
The protected Soshine may also be the same cell.

I think it’s baby blue, not cyan.
(yes, very important… :stuck_out_tongue: )

Mitko can you show “real” VS “fake” ?

Edit : I guess the difference is on the words over the barcode.

It appears both versions are marked as Soshine. Here they are on fasttech

real

fake

@ HKJ,

Many Thanks.

Confirms what those of us who have these already know, they are really good batteries.

Interesting what Mitko said re. look-alike batteries.

He had already informed us that the 2nd batch seemed inferior, so, good to be able to tell them apart from the photo’s.

Cheers,

@ Mitko,

Thanks for helping us with the pictures of the Non-Original batteries.

Very Useful.

Thanks, I think I’ll try a pair of these.

Nice I got some of these from Banggood back in early November for <5$ each, but now they don’t seem to carry them anymore. I wonder if Banggood may be getting out of batteries due to the shipping restrictions.

Thanks for the review!

I only have 2 of the old batch and they’re great.

Did any of those underperforming “26650-50A” cells came from GearBest? Banggood? Aliexpress maybe?

Cheers ^:)

Aliexpress maybe , or other shops .

Banggood and Gearbest had/have “original” Liitokalas .

Thank you Henrik…

The next fight……

Liitokala VS Ijoy ………

The IJOY is better at high current delivery; take a peek at the graphs:

This 5000mAh cell is actually manufactured by PLB (INR26650-50A, link). They also have a 5500mAh 26650 available (INR26650-55A, link), which is indeed the best 26650 known in the market (almost 6000mAh with 0.2C discharge!):

Shockli IMR26650 5000mAh is also the INR26650-50A cell from PLB, but some of them are of lower grade, i.e., smaller capacity. HKJ’s Shockli 5000mAh samples are also the ones of smaller capacity. 1 out of my 9 Shockli samples shows less capacity than the usual INR26650-50A (as HKJ’s test), while all the others are identical to the common INR26650-50A.

Nice info, toobadorz. That 5500mAh cell looks impressive. It has a bit higher IR from looking at the discharge curve, but not too bad.

Thanks for the review HKJ.

I bought four of these last summer from GB.

They still have them although they are to restock on Feb 8 - tomorrow. However and from the actual pictures on GB, they look exactly like the supposedly fake mentioned above…

Mine look genuine but don’t have the exact same marking above the bar code. It reads “+ 3.6V 18.0Wh -” (no F3) and below it differs in the VBxxxxx number. I remember testing them with the my BTC 3100 and they all ranked above 5Ah.

One thing that’s worth mentioning is that the LiitoKala logo is not printed on the wrapping like the other informations but applied as a sticker.

toobadorz, that INR26650-55A is nothing but a paper launch. Well, there's nowhere to get 'em, as far as I know.

I'd also prefer to buy non-rewrapped products, but that's a different story and, thus far, LiitoKala is doing nice. :THUMBS-UP:

Cheers ^:)

Hello Barkuti,

It’s difficult to get that INR26650-55A, but not impossible. Some Chinese sellers, like JAXMAN, do source some of this cell from PLB directly and sell them retail. I have some INR26650-55A and get satisfied with its performance. About 10% more runtime compared to INR26650-50A.

Regards.
