This 14500 battery is rated for both high capacity and high current.











The two cells tracks very nicely and can deliver 2 to 3A with very good capacity.


















Conclusion

These cells has very good performance as high capacity cells, but cannot be used as high current cells.

Smells like Sanyo UR14500Ps, with slightly improved discharge rate performance. Maybe newer/improved batches? The UR14500P was tested on the “old station”, but I doubt that would be of any significant impact at 2/3A.

12A max continuous? Ludicrous rating, indeed.
