Original(SST-50): 43800 Lux
Now(XM-L): ~82000 Lux
With XM-L U2 1C from LEDTech: ~86000 Lux
New: 4,1A, dedomed XM-L U2: ~182000 Lux

Head and Body are both original parts (TF X7/T8), but the body was shorten with a engine lathe.
Was done by Fritz15:
next i will try to put in a SST-90 Reflector (after some chanches).
sst upgraded to xml... handsome looking
The orig. Trustfire X7/T8 i measured with 43800 Lux.....now 78000.
wish i could replace my x9 head with x7...
x7 head really looks mascular,,,
Wow.
Just wow.
Very nice!!
I chanched the LED, from KD XML U2 1C to the same XML U2 1C, but from DX.
Also a little bit contact-tuning, now i get ~82000 Lux!
New Beamshots with bigger distance...
With Olight SR50:
Wow. What a big head you got!
Niceee.

I changed the DX XM-L U2 1C to LED-Tech XM-L U2 1C on copper base, now i get 86000 Lux.
I like that a lot. Looks so cool shortened.
Shucks...that copper base U2 costs EUR 20 to my country!
If you buy 2 (Germany) shipping is free of charge ^^ ...
$13.50 for NY, for 1 piece or 10
Nice MOD! Big reflector for XM-L, I like it
What is your maximum throw (meters) estimation?
Need to include shipping right?

sorry, I wasn't clear. when I checked, shipping was 13.50 for 1 and 13.50 for 10
Wow nice beamshots, you got the right mod man! I am pretty sure there is still room for greater lux number, you need to tweak the led and its position. I am getting more lux @4amp,i got almost 100.000 lux, at first i was at about ~80.000 too. With an olight M31 modded to xm-l, i am almost reaching 80.000 and this is achieved with a smaller diameter flashlight, same depth reflector. I am waiting a new reflector for my trustfire, to test. I ordered the classic 73mm DX reflector, it should be deeper. Also, you can try to dedome a led, to see your lux numbers getting double(but less total lumens!!!)
With the new reflector, a better dedomed led plus a UCL, i want to make it to more than 200.000 lux.
The SST-90 reflector from dx don´t fit
I have testet it.
Position of LED is best i can do and i have tested much positions
, maybe my Luxmeter is a little bit underreading.
Well that might be true!Do you have any other "famous" flashlight that you can measure to tell the results?
The reflector doesn't really fit? Oh man.... I am waiting for it! Why it doesn't fit?In height or diameter?Do you think any possible mod to fit it?
Height of the SST-90 reflector should be not really a problem, upper diameter also not, but diameter is everywhere too big.
With the SST-90 reflector i measured 92000 Lux, but with old LED from DX.
I think that i understand what you say, do think it is easy to trim the reflector at these points? I guess you would have done it already right? Hope to get it soon to see it, trimming the reflector plus the head inside, i might get some room to fit it!
Else a new host is needed....!
Where on earth did you find the other reflector? (not the DX SST90 although 92K lux is good!)
Where do you source these parts and what batteries are you running in that beast! You should seriously change your forum name to Max Candela or something! That soo rocks! Love the beamshots, absolutely love them!

The X7 i bought at ebay for ~$63
Batteries: bl./w. Solarforce (in my X7 only one needed)
Reflector is original, but with a 13mm drill enhanced, because for optimal focus a XM-L i need a position, where i have rings in beam with orig. hole.
Brilliant beamshots !!!! (pun intended)
I will be keeping my eyes out for an X7 now. What a very well-done mod.
Have you considered having the whole thing Cerakoted (baked ceramic coating) in a crazy color like WHITE or ORANGE ? That would be amazing.
Darn, now I just talked myself into a white DRY...I need to stay away from this forum.
