This battery size matches two CR123 batteries in diameter and length, but has lower voltage. In some cases it is a very good replacement.

The cells match fairly well and can deliver 5A, but not 7A.

Test at 4.30V charge voltage

Reducing the charge voltage means about 80-100mAh less capacity.

Test at 4.20V charge voltage
Sanyo%20UR16650ZTA%202500mAh%20(Magenta)-info
With a regular 4.20 volt charger the capacity is reduced 260-280mAh.
Sanyo%20UR16650ZTA%202500mAh%20(Magenta)-Capacity
The cell needs to warm up before it can handle a 5A discharge.

Conclusion
This cell cannot match a 18650 cell, but when the slightly lower diameter is needed it is a good cell.

Not sure if you are interested in this or other similar cell, but:
Vapcell INR 16650 2000mah 8A M20 (tested here: https://budgetlightforum.com/node/75358)
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4001223710350.html

Sanyo 3.7V 2500mAh UR16650ZTA 16650 (seems to be out-of-stock, but contact the seller and ask them about this cell. I did it and the managed to sell me 2 of them)

A nice cell for those who can’t (or won’t) bore out their SureFires to 18.6mm.

It’s not a high drain cell, but that does not matter because SF’s are not good in shedding heat.
And their standard tailswitch is already at risk at 3Amp.

Nevertheless, yet another thorough reviev by HKJ. Thanks!

You are a flashaholic if you are forced to come out of the closet, to make room for more flashlights.

Hi

Hello, 16650ZTA has limited stock now, but it was produced in 2017

The unit price is very expensive

Vapcell M20 16650 is recommended with low price Smile
