Hi,
Can someone share their experience with NKON. Do they have a good customer service?

Thanks.

Some opinions from the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly about NKON

You are a flashaholic if you are forced to come out of the closet, to make room for more flashlights.

I am considering buying zebralight from them and I’m not sure if I should buy from NKON or directly from zebralight’s website.
Since I live in Europe it is cheaper for me to buy it from NKON, but still unsure…

I’ve read that thread, but most of the reviews are over a year old, so they are not as relevant nowdays.

That’s a matter of opinion: I still shop there. Last time I visited the store, everything I bought was counted and checked.

Bought some batteries there about a month ago, no problems.

I love all kinds of lights... storm lanterns, kosmos & matador lamps, gas lanterns, tallow lanterns, flashlights, lasers, tritium vials...

I bought an Eagletac flashlight two years ago that was faulty (from factory), and without hassle I could send it back and got a new one. It is still the same guy running it (Arjan) so I guess it is still safe to buy a flashlight there.

I bought several batteries and lights over the last year and was very satisfied.

One light was faulty and there was no problem returning it and getting a new one. Fast email replies and easy to deal with. A very good shop to have around in Europe.

I recently bought some batteries from them, unprotected button top samsung cells, the button top part was quite poorly welded, it looks like “home made” job with welder set to 40% higher value than it should be, instead of small welding dots there were holes on the + plate…

I once visited the “NKON shop” (not really far away from my place) which is not a real shop but the place where they store and pack their stuff.
I met three of them (no idea who is who) and they were very friendly and helpful. Let me try out some Zebras and gave me some help with the batteries. They even gave me a discount for buying “offline”. Blushing
I have no doubt so far that they do everything to satisfy their customers.
My personal opinion: Highly recommended. Thumbs Up

Also from what I’ve seen, their prices are really low. For example the NCR18650GA in US is about 10$ and at NKON is 4.6Eur.

I hate them because

they do not ship to my country Crown

It is disgusting that every business is favorable for US Cash . No 30 eurs customs fee threshold, max %10 ? sales tax and no f**king %20 VAT system making it impossible to not paying it, Very low shipping fee, almost no chance for a product to not being able shipped.

F**k the EU! I hope one day US will bring freedom here Big Smile

Back to the topic:

I could not buy anything from them but according to comments a lot of people say that it is quite reputable. I have seen some people claiming that they received fake batteries but this is just their comment and they are minority.

I don`t think they sell fakes. So please show me the place people proved they sell fakes.
Very interested to see that.

Purchased four MJ1 batteries when they first came out 2 years ago. NKON shipped them to Los Angeles in about 2 weeks – everything was safe and batteries were genuine LGs. Item prices and shipping was reasonable, especially considering the distance. Questions were answered by email in timely and courteous manner. I have no problems purchasing from them again.

On the CPF forum another member there went to NKON and found the owner actually testing his new shipment of batteries to make sure they were performing per spec.
