Enjoyed the video a lot, many thanks!

Thanks for the peek into the powder coating process. Now we need a peek around your work area.

yeah +1!

For those interested in a bit more detail here’s the longer version:

That’s pretty much it in the video!

Lathe. compressor, and I’m sure there is some other goodies stashed away.

Yeah, Like an EGO, GEO or CS1/R

I use to take the industrial comuter cases that our company had made to a get powder coated, they hang them on a line side by side in a large enclosure and a guy used a spray gun gives them a blasting, I think there was some sort of electrostatic charge so the PC was drawn to the item that was being sprayed, the inside corner of the cases use to get a unfortunate thick build up, not a real problems as this part cannot be seen.

Then the cases went into a oven to be baked hard.

John.

I have seen them types of systems, The gun imparts a positive electric charge to the powder, which is then sprayed towards the grounded object (this can leave marks where the grounding clip is applied)

The one I use is electrostatic so there is no need to ground the part, (holding the metal gun you become the ground) the gun sprays positively charged powder and it adheres to the part

‘the powder is positively charged through the gun in a cloud that attracts to the component, similar to the way dust attracts to a TV screen.’
