Easy enough to say, another story to source actual emitters that fill the bill. And then there are the High CRI demands of a fine EDC light. Pretty tricky, yes?
The thing is, even if/when you find the perfect emitter by your own standard… finding it again might prove to be a futile effort. Re-ordering the exact same binning from the exact same supplier more often than not ends in a very frustrating chase to duplicate that original find. It’s because they are made in a wide array and slotted into bins with quite a wide variance. Luck of the draw then, as it were. Unless you want to buy a huge overage and cherry pick the exact ones that suit your need. But of course, this is not usually something that is feasible. Pay Vinh to do it, one way, about the only way really. . .
Oh, wait, I’m already retired. I was tired yesterday and I’m tired again today…
I have excellent code writers working on a reversing algorithm to start taking posts off instead of adding…
Are we starting a pot to see if I break 20,000 before the FW3A goes into production?
Maybe I can start a new thread and just post everything I want to say from forum wide into the opening post, in that way I would never gain a single click and still be able to talk infinitely…
Y’all are lucky to just have me here, my son talks so much our house is on oxygen…

This is why I love the XP-L HI so much. Amazing tint, hi output, very little deviation in tint from one to the next in my experience.

I think I don’t see myself in the list yet please add me in for 1 Nichia version
You asked HERE on 20 January. No need to ask twice. As has been posted several times… the list has not been updated. You will be added when it is. It will be posted when it is updated also….

LOL David, wasn’t it Lumatic that killed his post count climbing? Messed with the forum as I understand it.
Naaaa, not gonna do anything like that, I talk, accepted standard for me for some 54 years… I’m told that when I was 2 we were heading to VA to Dad’s home place for summer vacation, stopped along the way for breakfast at a Denny’s. Came time to order, no Dale! They found me in the kitchen, talking to the chef…

I can’t remember who it was, because it happened before my time here. Somebody mentioned it at some point and I looked it up and read through it.
IIRC, the perpetrator was running a giveaway of sorts. Whoever was able to get him to post that next post (outside the OP of his thread) would win the prize. But it never happened. He eventually just disappeared. (maybe he came back under a different nick?) That’s how I remember it. Like I said, it was before my time, so I could be “remembering” it wrong.
That’s a funny story, about the running off and talking to the chef. I know a kid that would totally do that. She’s the most extroverted extrovert that ever did extrovert – and she’s got boundless energy – definitely a Tigger.

I have a tracking number which says a FW3A production sample should be delivered tomorrow. I plan on testing it and posting results and pictures, and then hopefully production can start.
There were a few made and sent to various people, and all units should be arriving near the same time. I hope they will also do testing and reviews, to help make sure we catch any issues before production. Also, I bet everyone is probably sick of only getting info from me, so it’ll be good to get more people involved.

That sounds good….
A definate “NO” to getting info from you TK… we are not “sick of that”. If not for you we would have had basically no info at all.
So we more than appreciate your effort in trying to secure info (as difficult as that turned out to be...) & then passing it to us!!
Thank you!!

You’re already on the list for 7. Should this be a total of 2 instead?
He’s done 5 different posts saying he wants 2.
I would just do a total of two for him.
And I thought you were kidding about 5 posts… . .

Oh nice. He can do spectrum analysis and give exact colors at different brightness levels, etc… I hope he gets an xpl-hi version because that’s the one I’m curious about.

Dale, I’m predicting 20,000 posts by Easter.
Yeah yeah yeah…
I’ll retire and walk away at 19999
