You are not being forced into purchasing the light just because you are on the list. If the shipping is a deal breaker then simply don’t purchase. You won’t be charged anything. This particular flashlight is much less expensive than the GT and has a slimmer margin of profitability. I could be wrong, but I can’t recall any absolute promises to keep group buy prices, (flashlights plus shipping cost) under 36$. Also I’m confused how you expect the shipping cost to be increased but not the overall price?
just ordered. During checkout was it you guys experience that you couldn’t get the discount unless you type in your info?
I couldn’t go straight to PayPal.
I experience that with the Code itself on many sites. If I copy & paste a code I always do a skip & a backspace & it works just fine for me.
I have an account on Neals site so the name & address was auto filled in.
Just got a little concerned because I thought nealsgadgets was in the US but my card is already charged and
looks like its in China.
I’ve ordered from him, before. Don’t worry, Neal is legit.
I did not notice that this thread was started 2 years ago. dang!
So, are they still adding to the group-buy entries, or are they only giving discounts for the people who joined initially?
For those keeping track of progress, I just got my PM and ordered my lights. Still want to get a couple of the high CRI ones when they get released as well.
I got the PM exactly when the math said I would, almost to the minute.
Can’t believe this day arrived! Thanks all for your extraordinary work!
Wow, that was a long wait. I forgot about this guy until I saw a post on Facebook. I just placed my order for a 7A.
I’ve never ordered from Neal. How long does the shipping usually take?
I haven’t been around much (I get lost and confused by these mammoth threads on BLF) and I’d almost forgotten about this light. I almost just ignored the emails, but I’m happy I didn’t because this is an exciting light. Anyway I just ordered mine, thanks so much to those BLFers who have spent about two years working on this, and to Neal for everything he’s done.

I see a few people have ordered 7A. I’m on the fence about this one. It is a very warm tint.
I agree, it’s warmer than I like, but given the choices offered, I’ll take too warm for my liking over too cold any time, so 7A was an easy choice for me.

So does this mean that 1544 units were produced and anyone after that number won’t be able to participate in the group buy? Or will there be a round #2 soon to follow?
Problem is, TK said that the actual delay is 90 seconds plus approximately 5 seconds of message processing time. With hundreds of messages (well over 1000), clock skew is likely to be significant. TK's made later posts with something like "now at #nnn at time TTT", and using those will be slightly more accurate.

I got my PM and ordered with VTC6. Thank you to all the people who worked on this project.

When are we guessing the latest we can make the purchase?
I have received a PM. I will purchase one now and my second one later. Pending answer may purchase both now.
Also a battery recommendation please. Edit: never mind see options on neals page.
Ordered one, the other 5 will wait for a high CRI option

Is a CREE XPL HI 7A with a pink shade?
Any pics?
I want 3000K yellow like Nicha 219D
Genesis 1:3 "And God said, "Let there be light," and there was light."
7A is going to be yellow-orange visually and should not be significantly pink or green.

Thank you!
One 7A is ordered).
Genesis 1:3 "And God said, "Let there be light," and there was light."
Keep in mind that Neal does not have them yet; he’s waiting for delivery from Lumintop. After that, expect typical Chinese shipping of 2-4 weeks.
