Questions about the DRY 3xXML

Is this light...

http://www.cnqualitygoods.com/goods.php?id=1177

All it's cracked up to be? Does it have the case some mentioned that comes with it standard? Since it's not regulated, how noticeable is the gradual drop in power? I want a white tint similar to my Ultrafire C8 XML T6. Which version provides this or closest to it? I'm also interested in the turbo version. Which one do I select? And can it use 18650 protected TF cells? I've become used to those.

Is this a ridiculous, jaw-dropping power light? Do you really, really love it? Would you buy it again? Is it light enough to put in a cargo pant pocket? Is the case a workable belt option?

It's been said to be brighter than the Skyray 3800. How does this baby compete with the Stanley HID? So many questions...I need to feel justified in dropping $100 plus for this light and the batteries.

Just noticed they are sold out.

"Does it have the case some mentioned that comes with it standard?"

I haven't seen such a mention before.

"Ultrafire C8 XML T6" doesnt says anything about tint. Most probably it's Cool white. If it was anything else it would have been mentioned.

"And can it use 18650 protected TF cells? I've become used to those."

Yes you can use your TF protected 18650 batteries. Don't use Cr123A.

" Do you really, really love it? Would you buy it again?"

Yeah.

"Is it light enough to put in a cargo pant pocket?"

Depends on your pockets. Dimensions: 15cm long, 5.7cm head.

And it weights 500g including the Batteries.

It is also sold here : http://www.intl-outdoor.com/dry-xml-t6-2500-lumens-18650-flashlight-p-215.html

Description is structured not like that mess up on CNQG.

Hey Joe,

I'm close to you. If you really want to see it in person before deciding to buy, you are welcome to try out mine. I'm in South Arlington area.

The link hikelite gave above have the best price.

If you are a regular, actually Ric can do better than that. Plus i get heck lot of good support for this and other lights. Good luck dealing with a slightly scratched up bezel or faulty tailcap or you want to change GITD to black ones or your broke the lens from MF/DX/etc...

Hank's prices are absolutely non-negotiable, even if you are a regular (I purchased 4 lights already). But some of his prices are pretty good.

Just FYI, lest you guys think i am so rich to anyhow buy flashlights. LOL!

Ric is fantastic, what can I say. He doesn't answer my e-mails. Can you haggle with DX, KD or MF ?

Ric is from Shenzhen. Hank represents a company form Nanjing. Huge difference, of course he can't offer discounts. Still for non regulars his prices are better.

As mentioned in another thread, I guess Ric cannot answer individual requests for detailed stuff like PWM freq, weight of flashlight...you know that kind of things. It's the same for HKE. They could be flashaholics for sure, but if you are going to be participating in 200-300 threads in a month, it's too going to be too much. They need to be packing stuff, sending stuff, keeping track of tracking numbers.....and most probably have another day time job.

But if you are buying stuff/support for faulty components etc.... very fast usually, not only for me but from what i heard from others too. Even on a Sunday (i just got an email from him just now in the afternoon) which you won't get from the regular big sites like MF/DX/Kaidomain.

Actually i received 3 support replies from Dinodirect on a Sunday. Innocent

The weight of a flashlight is complicated like the PWM frequency?

I don't care if they have to carry stuff, that's what they chose, if they can't answer the e-mails they don't get business.

Actually I was asking about missing accessories not PWM frequencies.

What missing accessory from which light? Sometimes i also send out second email to get attention, like for eg tracking number. Once the DHL missed delivery advice slip reached me and then i got the tracking number. LOL! (they sent out the same day i PPed).

Weight can google lah....I don't memorise everything too. Like length/width etc. But seriously i can't find the weight of the Crelant 7G5.

"What missing accessory from which light?"

So your working together with Ric now?

You are 2100, the man with 4 DRYs, HIDs, humongous flashlight collection, who can afford DHL shipping. Beast.

Well i was also missing an accessory but i think he sent it out with the T6 3C that i ordered, also waiting for the 4 big sized O-rings (can't get elsewhere) for the DRY....

If you buy 2 or more lights, usually DHL is not too expensive...you need to email the quote though as the website quotes a bit more. Eg, my last purchase of the Kingpower/TK35 was only $6.50 more so that works out to be like 3 bucks a light additional only. Wait for 2 days or wait for 3 weeks possibly plus even for Registered Mail the post office CAN lose a package and not cover you....as what happened to my friend with a missing Zebralight SC600, not a hard decision to make. :)

But sometimes I can wait, like the last DRY it was during the holidays, so DHL or registered air mail does not make any diff.....still gotta wait. Single item also. If it's below $30 i can even go unregistered.

DHL is really good service, really good if you are busy. Missed delivery advice in the morning, came home at night at 6pm, gave CS a call at 6.15 and DHL came at 7.15pm. Past 2 experiences also, reach SG in early morning (you need to always track yourself online, SMS update is not always timely), gave them a call to re-direct and deliver to office by 12 noon. EMS cannot make it, missed delivery advice, you can only call the next day, and arrange delivery to your closest post office for pickup 2 days later. WTF.... It's prob better for the guys in USA, because they sometimes wait 1 more week longer than me if registered air mail is not fast....2 weeks for me and 3 weeks for them, or 3 weeks for me and 4 weeks for them.

Thanks, pal. I may take you up on that. This link says they're sold out, too, but that may be for the better. I need to space out my purchases. lol
