I have not run this light with high drain (super high amp) batteries, do so at your own risk. The SST-40’s could probably handle them but I would think something would melt from the heat. It’s Incredibly bright with regular good batteries, so I don’t really see the need for them. Heat transfer to the body is very good with the copper pill and it does get hot fast on Turbo.
Could be easily 12 klumen or more on high drain batteries! And the leds should be alright even though they are not on a DTP board (you used the stock board I guess?)
I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s not around that already, I’m using samsung (pink 2600mAh) and this thing if very bright. And yep, I used the stock board and just used some very good thermal paste between it and the copper, which I buffed to a polish before putting in. I figure one of the advantages of these SST-40’s is that they can handle more amps and with this many in there I’m pretty sure they could handle high drain, I just haven’t bothered to find out. It’s pretty crazy the way it is.
I received the packaged along with other modded lights. The package was missing the gold srk and jaxman x1s modded light. The seller asked me if i want to file an insurance with USPS. I probably not. I am too busy with work and dont want to do all the paper work.
+1 I understand being busy. But it’s not just about you not getting the light. It’s also about the offender(s) getting justice. They may otherwise continue stealing other people’s things.
