I see Gearbest has the UT01 for $16.73, but they call it “presale” even though this is not a new model coming out…? Is this how they word out-of-stock, or is this somehow something different? Any reason to not buy? Lost my last one, seems like a good deal on a replacement.
Yeh, ad states ships AFTER Aug 2. So, apparently it is not in stock yet.

Only glitch I’ve heard and read about is the occasional misaligned/hit or miss switch. But I think that we will always hear the negative reviews from the minority, that unfortunately received such, vs the majority of those that received perfect units.
If I didn’t already have one, I would not hesitate to order at this price point.
ETA: I see the sale price is for the 6500K 1A version. If one can live with that tint, the price is excellent and a no brainer. Step up to the warmer 3D 5000K tint adds another $7.22 to the price making it $23.95…not such a bargain IMO.

Was this just another Chinese scam to get me to buy? It has been weeks since august 2 and order is still “processing”
In my experience, Gearbest does not intentionally scam. Have you contacted them to ask about the delay? I ordered something from Jaxman on AliExpress just 5 days ago (still “awaiting shipment”) and I’m already messaging them to ship it soon.
I contacted their customer service and they told me they are still trying to get stock from their supplier. They gave me the option to wait longer, to exchange for another item, or a refund.
I’m going to wait a bit longer as I have a bunch of lights coming down the pipeline so I’m in no hurry to get another one. But it looks like the availability date keeps getting pushed back further and further. I’ll probably give it another few weeks and then decide.
If you really like this one you can always get the real thing, the Manker E11. It costs a bit more but it’s readily available. Plus you’ll get a real 5 year warranty from Manker. I don’t know what kind of warranty Utorch has.
But only if you bought it from an “authorised reseller”, which does not include GB, from what I recall reading here fairly recently.

i usually ignore my orders as most of them take an average of a month to arrive. In some cases it take longer depend if they have items in stock.
Worst case scenario gearbest will address a solution.
They seem to be in stock now for a higher price but I got an email gearbest trying to refund my money and not ship the lights? anyone else get this?
Still waiting on mine that was ordered during a pre-sale back in July.
If you really like this light and don’t want to wait any longer - for about $6 more you can order a Manker E11 from Manker directly or Amazon. It’s pretty much the same light.

Every response they reply they fail to meet. It was not ready by end of month. It was not dispatched by September 10th. I just want my money back as these people are just unscrupulous as hell.
Mine was sent after a short mail asking what was going on.
Maybe they only get 1 emitter in a week… I didn’t know Gearbest was the manufacturer. I thought they just sold the whole flashlight 
Contact customer service and ask for full refund. I did just that and they refunded to my PP immediately.
