Nitecore D4 problem

I bought a Nitecore charger D4 from a reliable AliExpress seller. Product had validation sticker and I did the validation on the Nitecore site too. However today I got batteries and wanted to try it out for the first time and there is no display at all, when plugged in. Am I missing something, is there a switch or combo button presses to turn the damn thing on. Or is there some reset button anywhere? Extremely disappointed and have filed for a refund as item is within the 15days replacement period. However if anyone has any idea, please let me know. Also if not Nitecore, then which charger? Thanks

I had the same problem with a D4 , few years ago .., I opened it and found the fuse , on main , blown ! Replaced it and everything worked o.k . , since...

Check if with 12V is working , and if it does , the fuse on 220 V is kaput . Sometimes is happening with no apparent reason , maybe a spike on main...

Good luck !

Opening the charger would surely void the warranty, but at least you have given me some hope incase seller does not honour the warranty. Thanks.

That's true , if you open it , you loose the warranty ! I was saying to check if with 12V , from an external power supply , is working ...( you have an plug in , for this) .

Does it ?

Anyway , I don't know how the warranty service is working in your country  because , in mine , is a PITA !...I had few bad experiences with reputable companies , not even getting an answer to my complains.., it seems that my country is something like a " third country nation" , our money has some different smell and value for them...!

That's why , when was possible , I repaired myself , I took that as a new experience and understanding about how it works.., because , what is "man made" could be repaired and improved.., this Forum is the living proof for that !

But , it is your choice , your money and time...

I put on the charger just now an fit came one. The display showed d4 and that kept blinking. I put a battery and nothing happened. Finally it turned off again. This means the ac fuse may be intact and there may be some problem with the electronics.

Contact the vendor
Did you marked it received?
If vendor guides you and fuse replacement fails it is maybe not on you.
I had a D4, it failed after 2 weeks, much more prefer the cheaper and feature richer Liitokala Li500 (you have an adapter now so won’t cost more then $17 or so)
Good luck.

The vendor offered to replace the charger. I have asked for a refund as I have already bought a Opus 3100. If he doesnt agree for a refund will ask for a replacement.

I ordered a replacement BT C 3100 but it has got stuck in customs, looks like it will be sent back. The Nitecore works on a 12v adapter so for the time being I am OK.
But I was thinking of getting either the Lii500 or the BT C100. I don’t really need 4 slots but would like discharge function and something which shows the current of the batteries. Can someone advice which one to go in for, either between the two or anything else? Thanks.

I got a surprise when the postman arrived with the BT 3100C this morning. I had to pay some customs duty, not much. Delighted to get the Opus finally.
