I wasn’t able to check last night, but I will definitely check today when I get home. As for batteries, I use Liitokala and Shockli. Here are tests of the cells:
I meant switch PCB size and switch hole threads, could you check?
Ok, I will check tonight after work.
Did you maybe check it? I just bought one MR C8.2 host, looks interesting enough for extreme power.
What is currently the best 26650 cell for high discharge (25-40A)?
Ok, I checked the switch board and here are the measurements: thickness = 1.3mm, diameter 20.2mm . They are the same ones that Simon used to carry on his Convoy store with HGJ stamped on it. The host comes with the high amp forward switch that Simon sells on his store as well:
I don’t have any tools to measure the switch hole threads but I posted pics below. I’m not sure if that even helps. Let me know if you have any other questions about the tailswitch.
LEDIL ANNA-40-7-S 7x TIR Optics – Spot What leds go with optic? C8? Spacer?
I have 34mm MCPCBs for 6x 3535 and 4040 LEDs that are compatible with ANNA optics and Convoy C8. I will offer assembled PCBs with LEDs I currently have in stock, LH351D 4000K 90CRI and Luxeon V 4000K 70CRI.I need to do basic tests and build few "demo" lights to see if everything is ok. I will have spacers too, but it's summer vacation season so there is little delay.

Thanks for measurements, too bad it's not compatible with Convoy.
After looking a little bit more about those high drain 26650 cells, I 'm little bit disappointed they don't outperform 21700 30T, they actually have higher IR than 30T.

Well they are Chinese cells. If Samsung made them, they would be better. Also they contain much more total energy. The 30Ts are very specialized, they have a very low energy density.
Looking into buying the LD-B4HV driver soon, probably in the next month or so.
Having 3S input and using a 6V LED (XHP70.2) won’t be an issue, right?
.
Also, is there any chance of pushing more current through the driver past 12A? It will be well heatsinked of course, not like in a regular flashlight host.
I’m willing to pay significantly more than the 12e base cost if I can get something like 14 or 16 amps or even more.
LD-B4HV is linear driver,in theory it would work with 3S and XHP70.2,but in practice power loss/dissipation would be immense, basically energy from one battery is wasted.
One solution is to use dummy cell, so that you have 2S, other solution is to use LiFePO4 cells.
LD-x4 can be modified for different currents,up to 30A shouldn't be a problem, if I remember correctly, few guys used LD-2/3 up to 35Amps.

So if I was running 20A that means I would have like 80W of power loss at the driver?
I guess I need to look for a buck driver then :/ it needs to work with 3 lipo cells for sure.
Honestly, I’m a little disappointed. The fact that ANNA doesn’t use all potential. After assembly it will not look too good if the center optics will be “empty”.
Probably in 2-3 weeks, (unfortunately) it's summer vacation time.

I could make 7x pcb, this was initial idea, but spacer for C8 would be too complex to machine, it would cost a lot more than standard single central hole.
So 6x is better than existing cute-3x solutions for C8. And if you are worried about esthetics, there is ANNA-6 optic without central TIR.
Just for curiosity, what is the complex machining that would be required? I just realized that a 7x MCPCB would be great for RGBW, with 2x each red, green and blue, and the white in the center.

I assume the PLB 55A cell, e.g. Keeppower 6.000mAh or Shockli 5.500mAh should be the best high drain cell for 26650 size.
I thought KP wasn’t a high drain cell.
Vapcell/Aspire/iJoy/Golisi 4200-4300
Shockli 5500
That table is great, only internal resistance is missing for complete information.
What is best reliable source (China or EU) for Vapcell/Aspire/iJoy/Golisi 4200-4300?
led4power.com
I think both Banggood and Gearbest sell Golisi though I have never ordered a 26650 from either site, only US vendors.
I saw that lion wholesale is having a clearance sale on the Aspire 26650 for $6.99 per cell for those of you who are in the US.
This one is the best 26650 for basically every application.
For maximum current the Samsung 30T (21700) might be a little bit better, but is has a much lower capacity.

Ok, I misunderstood I was thinking of the older KP batteries. So the KP 6,000 mah is the same as the Shockli 5,500 mah cells.

I got mine from 18650.uk. Out of stock at the moment and very expensive though. Nkon also has them.
edit: misread, you said 4200-4300… disregard my post

When will the 31.4mm mosX 3× 3535 and 3× 4040 for CUTE-3 MCPCB’s be available ?
Very soon.

Yes, in a few days I will have 15-24Amp versions of LD-B4 for new 3x,4x,6x mosX boards, 30-35Amps later when Sofirn releases 21700 C8F.
