Wow, option of either click or twist tail cap… That’s a really, really, simple and elegant solution to the impossible trade off of size vs function for an edc. Why haven’t I seen this option before!!! Genius! I demand this option for A6/S2+/S1 style lights!

Unfortunately I’m maxed out on flashlight spend for a while thanks to the antics of Miller and co with the GT and the Q8.

If it always starts on a sub-lumen low and has some Nichia goodness coming out the front, this will be the flashlight success story of the year!

This. This is AWESOME. I always felt and said that the old Tool felt like an undersized AA light, and we needed a bigger battery to make up for the short runtimes. Now we have this.

Still, I’m gonna rein in my impulses, wait for the first few to go around and feedback to pop up. Once my finances stabilise and whatever teething pains this model has are straightened out, I’ll make a note of getting the CRI version Big Smile

Nice with a few but’s, main one is output and on max on an Eneloop, and the efficiency on all modes.

I do need a light for work and this one would be perfect. Depending on the specs.

If the modes are the exact same as the AAA Tool and the runtimes are comparable to the Thrunite T10’s, it’ll be a winner IMO.

Even better: if I know Lumintop, they’ll come out with a Nichia option.

Curious if it will officially support 14500 Li-Ion.

Will it come with both short and long caps? 14500 li-ion compatibility is a definite plus.

I’d be interested in a high CRI version, subject to specs and price.

I need a 10 to 20 lumen mode in there somewhere, and 5000K 90+ CRI Nichia 219B is my emitter sweet spot.

Unfortunately the form factor tells me this will be a bulky flashlight.
I love AA lights when they are slim like Acebeam M10 or Thrunite T10 or even Amutorch S3.
This one will still be a must have, given the popularity of the AAA Tool ! (I have 2 myself)

I don’t mind a bit more heft, it makes me feel like I’m holding a proper light and not a plastic toy.

And yes, I have 2 Tools as well – one XP-G2 that I used for a while then gave to my mother who loves cool white, and one CRI that I carry every single day no matter where I am (home, work, school, travel, you name it). Awesome little thing, punches way above the 1xAAA weight.
