Is there some type of mod to get rid of the huge dark hole in the middle of the beam?  I seem to notice it wherever I shine it.

About all you can do is adjust the reflector height up or down to try and make the beam look nicer.

Texas Ace Lumen Tube and JoshK Sphere calibrated with Maukka lights

^^ worth a try thanks.   My bezel seems to be glued on, might have to heat it.

I did today a little test

I measured a bit on my MF02S driver, final results

stable regulation
standard 6A driver, 6.00A measured between 14.1-16.8V

transition to DD
the current raises then falls due to the buck current sensing
reaching its maximum with 6.6A at 13.8V
13.5V drops to 6A output

DD
below 13.5V current falls as any DD driver
4A at 12.8V
2A at 11.9V
LVP cuts turbo at 11.6V and 1.75A
