WTT: Reflector of H03 wanted. Trade for TIR

Hello friends. I have two H03 headlights with the TIR optic. I would rather have the reflector. Anyone out there want to trade their reflectors for my TIRs?

I happen to have 2 spare Skilhunt headlamp reflectors, i replaced them with TIR optics.
But i’m not sure if it’ll be worth the shipping costs from EU to USA.
You’ll need the 2 glass lenses too, but i think i have used them in other lights.

If you want i will check later, gotta do some other things now.

Ok thanks friend! The lens should be easier to source than the reflector. Any idea on shipping cost? If you pm your address I can check.

When i can keep it under 20 grams it’s €1.33 to USA.
Up to 50 grams it’s twice that.
Much less than i expected.

I’ll see what i can find in my box of glass lenses.
But if you have the exact sizes for the lenses you need (because i’m not sure which exact lens is from a Skilhunt), and you can source them easily i’d rather keep the one i have left (but i may have equivalents without AR coating).

Just let me know what you want (to know).

I was thinking the same thing , swapping H03’s optic with H03R’s reflector

I have a H02R and i recently put a non-Skilhunt TIR in it, and i put the black bezel of a H03F on it (without the hinge part, i cut that off and filed it flat) and also removed the stainless steel switch bezel and replaced the switch boot with a larger black one to fill the cavity.
Looks really cool now, and of course no more tint shift.

And i have a H03F on which i put the stainless steel bezel of the H02R and a Skilhunt TIR, which can be bought here from 20 to 60°:

They’re identical to the Skilhunt TIRs.

Yeah, the stock H03F looks cool i.m.o., but the ‘door’ was always rattling and not held in position properly.
It also scatters the light to the sides (and often i the eyes of the user), which is just annoying
So no more F version for me.

@ LightRider:
I found the reflectors.
They weigh 0.6 grams each.
So shipping cost will be €1.33

O, wait, if forgot to mention one important thing:
Centring gaskets !

They need to be 0.6 to 0.7mm thick and fit the 7mm hole of the reflector.
I have one of them left i my parts box, i used the other one already.
But it’s the last one i have of that type, so i’d rather keep it myself…

I did recently order some of these though:
https://www.fasttech.com/p/4512104
But i don’t know how thick they are (they’re not in yet, haven’t even been shipped yet).

Maybe as an alternative idea to increase throw you could try these:
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/CREE-XML-LED-Lens-Diameter-17mm-60-degrees-Smooth-surface-5050-lenses-XLamp-XM-L-T6/2043525162.html
Smooth surface, the 20° version (unfortunately no 10 or 15° version available).
Same form factor as the Skilhunt TIR, easy swap.

Thanks for the tir link! I may try one or two of those?

PM sent to discuss the reflectors.

the lens from Jetbeam Jet-1 MK fits perfectly in the H03
the 14mm lens from kaidomain is a bit thicker but should fit as well

The lens or the reflector? I was thinking the lens is greater than 14mm. No? I’ll measure it when I get a chance

err 17mm lens, the reflector inner diameter was 14mm

the Jetbeam reflector is deeper

this one should fit
http://www.kaidomain.com/p/S023866.16_9mm-x-1_0mm-Double-Multilayer-Coated-Water-White-Glass

I found the exact LED gaskets too:
http://www.kaidomain.com/p/S024686.11mm_8_2mm-White-Plastic-Insulation-Gaskets

A thicker lens will probably prevent the bezel from screwing down to the head all the way.
I would suggest to search for a lens with the exact same thickness as the Skilhunt lens.

the 16.9x1mm fits perfectly, I remembered it thicker

Jerommel, are you still willing to sell me the reflectors or I can send you the tirs they replace?

I would be interested in the reflector’s diameter & height so i can buy one .

Thanks

Yes, we’re gonna do an exchange (see PM).

It’s 15mm diameter and 17.3mm 7.3mm high.

Thanks ! It’ll be tough finding one .

MISTAKE!
it’s 7.3mm high.
Sorry…
