I need some information, but don’t even know where to look for it. I would like to manufacture an LED light that is powered by 110. I get that doing this is not at all the same as selling hand held DC flashlights.
Where would I even look to find the guidelines for this type of project?
Also if anyone here has a product like this in production and has suggestions for moving forward I’d be very interested.
Maybe talk to HKJ? He’s got a lot of reviews on AC powered gear and has some pretty well established opinions on the safety of proper isolation and grounding…
No idea what you power requirements are but if its DC in the end to LEDs, you may want to go with a separate Certified power brick. Even if its hidden inside the lights housing.
Check UL and CE for a certification checklist. Best place to start…
Use a 110vac to 12vdc power brick, or whatever dc voltage your light needs.
