Out of interest, what components are people commonly using to base their build around a 6V XHP50/70 emitter? I'm guessing you'd want to start with a host that accommodates two 18650s (or 26650, or whatever) in series? At 3A, and two cells operating at their nominal 3.7V you might be needing to burn off 4.2W in your driver circuitry. Are people favoring going down the triple path instead, or are there some good XHP50 build ideas out there?
I'm just curious to know what people have tired, and if there's a common pattern that is working well for folks out there. Maybe my google powers need sharpening?
