UPS is the worst, most expensive, rip-off shipper i have ever had to deal with.. They double charge, have hidden fees on top of fees, loose & destroy packages worse than basic mail, & the list goes on. I woudl never deal with them again. By the time all their fees, brokerage, their high shipping rates are all paid off it woudl cost $60.00 + dollars to order just four 18650 cells through them.

Thanks for the info. I won’t take the risk then.

I saw those Varicore BT 30Q on Aliexpress :

Do they worth it?

I ordered 4 from the very same seller, and also 4 pieces of the Liitokala LG HG2. I received the shipped notification email 2 days ago on 18/10. Now the 3-4 weeks wait begin!

Is there a possible way to order 30q to be shipped to philippines?

Hey there, kababayan!

1) Banggood = No:

I ordered the 30Q (with protective case, since that was suggested by Banggood themselves when I inquired about shipping to the Philippines) from Banggood sometime mid-August. The shipping was sent, but tracking stopped on the first station, no updates since then. Informed this to Banggood, they agreed to re-send, but I think the very next day, they said, shipping restrictions prevented them from shipping, and they refunded the amount.

The only time I got a 30Q from BG, was when I ordered a BLF A6 flashlight with 30Q included (placed inside the flashlight, the battery had a clear tape over the battery to prevent it from making contact). Since I ordered some other stuff with the BLF A6, it was shipped successfully (I had chosen expedited shipping, since with the other stuff I ordered, it qualified for free (or very minimal cost) expedited shipping. Thus far, that is my only 30Q battery.

2) GearBest = No:

GB does not ship to the Philippines (I inquired twice, once thru their customer help; and another time thru the GB staff who usually posts here in the BLF forum). Both of them answered in the negative.

3) AliExpress == there are a number of sellers there (AliExpress is not a single entity, you have to communicate with each supplier), some still ship to the Philippines

I have ordered from the “LiitoKala Official store” (there are several similarly-named Liitokala stores in AE) there last month (September). Still waiting for them to arrive (it appears to be taking a very long time…) Hopefully it arrives in good condition (the battery package [shipped using Belgian Post] appears to travel from China to Belgium around 10 days; then another 12 days sitting in Belgium “being processed”, and has left Belgium a week ago with no further tracking updates as of today. Strangely, our Philippine Post still does not indicate this package’s tracking number, so my guess is that it could still be going to another unnamed transit country…)

As of checking that store recently, some of their batteries still can be shipped ‘via seller own shipping method’, while other batteries cannot be shipped anymore; you may want to check their various listings to see which ones still ship [but shipping cost has increased compared to before])

Note that most AliExpress sellers I checked sometime August-September lists “Turkey Post” as the shipping method to the Philippines. However, as of the past 2-3 weeks, I notice most of them have changed to: “cannot ship to the Philippines”, or “DHL/FedEx to the Philippines == this costs like US$50!”, or “seller own shipping method”. The Belgium Post I mentioned was “seller’s own shipping method”.

Also, whereas “Turkey Post” shipping to the Philippines (from AliExpress) used to be either: free (a few before), or minimal ($2.50 to $5), right now the “seller’s shipping method” costs more: (around $3 = very very few); $5-10 (most of them). So shipping cost has increased much lately, most likely due to the seller having to find alternatives (possibly obscure convoluted shipping methods to make the battery shipment to the Philippines work; ie. the battery has to go thru several transit countries that allow shipping of batteries and finally the last transit country that still allows air transport of batteries to the Philippines).

I think it’s going to get harder for us here in the Philippines to get genuine batteries. I did check Raon/Rizal Avenue here in Manila a few days ago. And I saw a few shops that carry minimal selection of 18650 batteries (I haven’t seen any that carry 18350/14500 yet locally). I didn’t yet find a store there sell the Samsung 30Q, but I saw one with Samsung 26F and 35E, the prices seem to be about 2-3 times as the prices I checked in AliExpress though [if not factoring the shipping/postal fees]. Another possibility is to check vape shops (many seem to carry Samsung 30Q and LG HG2) in the high-end malls, but the prices there could be even higher, also, but I cannot also ascertain if these are genuine branded 18650s…

Finally someone informed me of local Facebook (flashlight-related) groups where some members sell 18650s. May be worth checking out if you only need a few (price may be slightly higher than those in AliExpress, since when ordering abroad, the shipping/postal fee has to be considered in comparing actual landed price).

UPS is the most used courier when companies is shipping batteries to me and generally it works fine. Luckily I do not pay the shipping fees and do not know how bad they are.

Pinoy Tactical Flashlight FB group?

Haven’t tried ordering from them yet. But I might for some batteries that I’m looking for, and those foreign online stores unfortunately do not deliver to our country. However, the prices are of course a bit higher than from the foreign online stores. But when just ordering a few pieces (1 or 2 pcs), I think it does not make much sense to order online because our Post Office charges a Php112 (~ $2.20) post office fee for each package (no matter how small value). So it could be possible to purchase a $1 item but we would have to pay our post office (Php112) $2.20, which makes the item much more expensive…

I hadn’t thought about that when I ordered some stuff (not batteries, since they don’t ship) from Banggood, and because some stuff are low-stock (and become out of stock when they’re processing shipment), they insist on shipping the items on stock first and not wait for the rest to bundle as one bigger shipment. So every small-valued item eceived as a separate individual package, I have to pay the Php112 fee, which makes the item not “cheap” anymore… Sad

Why don’t you just buy from a US seller? Illumn.com will get them to you pretty fast, they’re in san jose. And it’s the same price $5 each and you don’t have to doubt if it’s real or fake.

Shipping cost adds up fast when it’s applied. I know, time is money.
