So this light had some issues. When I first got it and put the battery in, it flickered and changed modes with the slightest movements. The threads on the tail end and in the tail cap were dirty, with dark grey alluminum dust. The lens appeared to be dirty... So I went ahead and disassembled it.
First thing I removed the head. the pill was loose, so I screwed it in until the reflector seated on it firm but not tight and the pill had no play to it. that fixed the flicker and mode changes.
Then I noteced a pulse-ish like flicker in the beam. Not enough to change modes but it was there. So again disassemble. This time i cleaned all threads and the brass pill with alcohol and qtips. Then i sprayed a dab of Rem Oil on the threads. Took out the lens and tried to clean t with some glass cleaner and micro fiber cloth. reassembled, adjusted pill to seat right, and popped the battery in again. No more pulse. The lens still looks dirty when the lights on, I may have to address that later with some glass polish for my pellet stove...
Cleaning the bare threads with alcohol turned the qtip grey. Leads me to think that they may not last long if thats from threading, but could be left over from machining.
Now its all back together. No pulse, dirty lens, and very slight defect on the reflector but thats not seen in the beam at all
The finish had no dings, dents or scratches. The anno looks "scaley" up close, but itll end up scratched and its not real noticeable unless your looking for it. The machining looks pretty good, except the threads. the last thread cut on all of the bare threads is not smooth. Its like a little jagged hook that kept getting cotton stuck to it when cleaning. The outside looks good with no tool marks.
the output is not real impressive to me, but I bought it with all intentions of doing an xml swap anyways. It does throw pretty well as is though

The pill can (and will) be replaced with a p60 pill
Well, I guess this is more of my observations than a review, but here it is anyway. Im sure I missed something, and I know Ill add stuff later, so there will be updates
