SS edc suggestion?

I am in the market for ss edc. Any good suggestion? A1, A2, A3? Budget $30 or less. Why is the A1 $33 http://www.shiningbeam.com/servlet/the-200/ITP-A1-EOS-SS/Detail 2 time brighter than the A2 $24 http://www.shiningbeam.com/servlet/the-201/ITP-A2-EOS-SS/Detail? They have the same emitter. Thanks!

well one uses 1 x CR123A, 1 x RCR123A, 1 x 16340 Battery other AA .

its a tough choice common batt vs, CR123A , enough brightness vs high powered pea shooter . i have been torn for a while but i am thinking primary cr123. i dont use them in primary form but its good for occasional use AND wow factor.

only issue is loosing a light like this - you can get some decent light , brighter for less. here are a couple for the holidays - we'll see if they are worth their salt. course they cant touch the quality of the ITPs

Thanks df2dot for the suggestion. But I am thinking of getting a stainless steel light for my Christmas present. No one else will buy me one.

N-Light B1 SS (1xAA) XP-G R5 maybe?... It will take some time before I receive mine and can comment on the quality.

Thanks Vectrex,

Did you get the cool or neutral white? Look very nice also. Does it start on low or med or high? Hope you get it soon, looking forward to your review.

Neutral and if it is anything like the B2S it will have memory.

Thanks, I gave up on B2S long ago. Hopefully it will be as good as old said without the clicky problem. Fingers crossed.

Can't wait. I got the itp A1 ss here http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0049R1ABS/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?ie=UTF8&m=A3IAN4VN1Q26HU. Pretty good price for SS, I hope.

The CQG S1 is a nice, cheap little AAA SS light. It's available over at CNQG for $15 shipped

If you're interested in similar, there's also a larger AA version for $1 more.

+1 It’s a fantastic little light! I wear mine on my neck like jewelry and use it all the time. Very small, very bright on AA cells, and very elegant looking (look less like a flashlight geek) when carried.

You might also consider the Trustfire SS lights like the F25 for AA size and the F23 in AAA size. The F25 packs an XP-E R5 and the F23 has an XP-E R2.

I have the F23 and when run on 10440 cells it is bright as hell considering it's size. Great little light!

Thanks Devman and JohnnyMac,

Those will be my next purchase. Thanks for emptying my wallet. Need more OT to support my addiction hobby.

So many flashlight, so little money.

Thanks Kreisler for the test result. I brought the itp A1SS just yesterday. Have to wait a couple week for my next purchase.

Wow, 3 days from order to receive. A1 ss with q5. Nice smooth action and very small and bright. My wife saw it and now is on her key chain. A record for me. I am still waiting for the U3 from DD I ordered on 10/17/11.
