Has anyone used this battery tester? If so or not, any recommendations? :smiley:

I have two. One doesn’t work right any more — don’t get the polarity wrong when connecting a cell.

I think there is a thread or two on some of their other models.

I have 3 of these units and I think that they are the best for testing batteries that you want to know what the charge and discharge curves this is very important information when you want to use BMS balancing board protection before I bought this type battery testing machine I had a very hard time matching batteries for the BMS balancing protection board to work correctly yes you can buy protection boards with out the balancing feature but the battery age faster with out the the balancing protection feature in battery packs that have more than one battery

When I use BMS balancing protection boards and going to make a battery pack for long live and dependable use

I use the following criteria

One the charge curve must be very close to each other battery being used
Two the discharge curve must be very close to each other battery being used
Three this one is not as important as the first two items that I have mentioned above and that is the milliamperes value it can not be way off from each other but does not need to be exact for it to work correctly

Here are some pictures of some charge and discharge curves these batteries are going to be used in a battery pack that I am building one note this protection board does not have balancing protection feature so the battery batteries do not have to be as close to each other battery but the closer they are the better your performance is going to be

You need to first upload the photo on a image hosting website like imgur and then insert the BBCode

I test several Boston Sonata 5300 milliamperes hour batteries are used bought surplus from a EBAY sell and the batteries tested so far have basically the same or very close to the same milliamperes results

I just received my new ZKE UBS + I

I am running a burn in test on this unit.

I am testing a battery pack used for charging phones and tablets —>

[ this pack did not have a very long running time ]

—> that I just used another case from a battery pack for a power tool the case that the battery pack

[ 40 volt battery pack ] that went bad repurposed the case ) charger originally
