Milboxer vs. Gryfalcon all 88

I am wondering if anyone has used the gryfalcon all 88 charger and how it may compare to the Milboxer chargers. I know that the falcon is an 8 battery charger and the Milboxer is currently only a 4 battery charger. Someone mentioned in the forums that Milboxer may be coming out with an 8 battery charger. Has anyone heard when they may be coming out with one? I am mostly interested in a charger that will charge the 18650 batteries. I like that the gryfalcon and the Milboxer both have displays that give you information about the charging process as opposed to having only LEDs that tell you when the charge is complete. Thanks for any information.

Which Miboxer charger are you referring to?
They have 2 different 4 bays, the C4 and the C4-12.

My opinion, for what its worth, the All 88 (~$55)vs……

C4 (~$30), not faster, or any “special features” I would use to make it better so, if you have the room, go for the All 88.

C4-12 (~$50) 3A x 4 cells charge rate. This thing is going to charge pretty fast if you are needing them as fast as possible.
2 rounds on here to charge 8 cells will probably be faster even than all 8 @ 1A charge of the All 88. In the real world, how long you wait to swap cells, and how fast you get the second batch going, maybe it wont save as much time as I think……….I dont have them to try it.

One thing I will mention on the “fast” charge rates………if you are just topping off cells that are near full, it wont speed things up near as much as if you are charging cells that are fully discharged (to safe limits).

I would probably go with the C4-12 if it was going to be my only charger, and fast charge of low cells concerned me.

The All 88 is a very good charger, and around the same price range. Its only downfall really is its size. This is a rather large charger. If you will be topping off large # of batteries that are still fairly close to full, fairly regularly, it would be a great charger and maybe just as fast.
……If its size is not going to be an issue, this would make a fine “only charger”.

Clear as mud now right?

In the end, Many of us wind up with more than one charger.
I have a Xtar Dragon as my main charger
older version of the All88 in my shop
Xtar VP2 in my travel charging kit. (This is still probably my favorite charger. Just simple and reliable)
And several single cell chargers that usually stay in my truck and Jeep.
Xtar Ant + Hummingbird
Klarus K1

Sorry for the long reply. Life got busy lately.

Thanks for your comments Blazer 296.

I think I would prefer the all 88 because you can charge 8 at the same time. I believe it is better to charge batteries at a lower rate as they last longer.

I did see someone post that Miboxer may be coming out with an 8 bay battery charger. Wondered if anyone has heard anything about one coming out?
