First Knives, Then MultiTools, & now THIS... LOL - Hi from GA

 Hi everybody

I’ve been a lurker on here for a little while, soaking up all of the good advice and constructive feedback alot of people on here have provided for the ideal flashlights. Like many of you, I am on what seems to be an endless search for the perfect piece(s) to complete my EDC setup. I love my Nitecore chargers and so far I’ve really been enjoying my Olight S1R Turbo S for everyday use, and my Thorfire VG10s for walks with my dog.

In the meantime I’d like to throw my hat in the fray and provide some constructive feedback from my own perspective on some of the newer and current offerings out there. As a permit holder, I also EDC a variety of handguns and have setups for Home Defense situations as well, so defense-geared lighting would be something I am also definitely interested in reviewing as well. Hopefully depending on feedback from my reviews I can take it a step further and begin Youtube reviews to enhance my commentary. In the meantime, this will do :stuck_out_tongue:

I am currently in Atlanta, GA although Miami, FL is my birthplace and will always be considered home, in one way or another.

It's good to have you here, DailyCarrySolutions!

Thanks! PS - big fan of Kershaw/ZT! Just picked up a ZT0450 in G10 earlier this morning. My daily carry is typically a Link in M390 and my girlfriend loves her Clash.

I’ve been in Miami for 33 years, but grew up in Los Angeles.

I’ve EDCed a Seecamp .32 for 20 years, but I’ve got other ‘stuff’ and even reload.

Welcome aboard.

For knives and I have a few nice ones, it’s just a SAK SwissChamp and before that a Leatherman SuperTool v.1 for a dozen years.

I like the utility that a multi-tool brings to everyday living, for me at least.

While I just got an Emisar D4 219C, I find myself grabbing my EagleTac D25C Ti. clicky, since it’s enough light for most of my daily needs, before that it was my Sunwayman V11R.

Chris

Hi Chris - I can’t say I miss Miami for it’s job opportunities, as that is what brought me up to Atlanta a few years back. However, I really REALLY miss the food!

I also carry an SAK to back-up my primary folder daily - today it’s my camo Spartan to backup my Benchmade Mini-Grip with Olive scales. SAK’s are great double-duty tools, and are great to whip out and slay boxes/open things in places like my office space that would view my pocket knife as too ‘murdery’ looking, lol.

I’ve only recently gotten into exploring all of the different companies that provide good flashlights, so this is all relatively new to me. I happened to luck out and find Olight is pretty close by (in Marietta) and found my Olight has really performed 90% of the tasks it is used for perfectly. I’m currently searching for a floody flashlight in order to really illuminate the immediate area as I walk my dog. I currently live in an apartment complex and while I pick up after my dog, I sadly cannot say the same for others that live there :person_facepalming: . Ironically, most people (and companies) are really into models being released that are really throwy, and don’t really view models with bright/consistent flood as uber-marketable.
