Just can't resist ordering the BLF Q8.

Most I’ve ever spent on a light. Anything I should know before ordering? Its kind of an impulsive thing, haven’t spent a bunch of time researching it—aah, you guys know what I mean. Any input would be appreciated. I have the ok from the wife so its only a matter of nutting up and taking the plunge.

Do your best to find it around $50 or so. I grabbed mine on eBay for about 55. I’m seeing a lot around 70-80 right now.

Also, grab some unprotected button tops. 30q are decent.

It's my favorite light and has a beautiful tint.  If you look at some youtube vids showing the Q8 vs some other similar types but with double the lumen output, the Q8 beam actually looks better.  Nice touches with the firmware where you can check the voltage, use ramping or the many modes etc.  It's just a quality all around light.

You won't regret it!

Best light i own in my little collection, I don't own so much flashlight but this is by far my favorite one!

I was in the same situation before ordering it, haven't spent more than 30$ on a flashlight, but I'm really happy with this purchase, if you can buy it under 50$ with a discount code it's a bargain, and I'm pretty sure you won't be disappointed.

The Blf Q8 just have everything i wanted in a flashlight, a lot of lumen, a nice tint,  a very nice ui, a good mix between flood and throw, a nice design, a good autonomy with 4 18650, it's compact, well build and so cheap for this kind of output.

And a last pro, the project came from blf.

I'm just loving it and you will too. Wink

Edit : with the coupon code from M4D M4X : M4DQ8  the price drop to 46.50$  (-33.45$) at banggood.com

i’ve said this before to new members asking about what to buy ….buy anything made by BLF members all the BLF lights are great buys. The Q8 will impress anyone .super output and very nice tint …it has only one real flaw ..that green button has gotta go .

You don’t need to order it from Hong Kong. It’s 50.96 delivered, right now on Amazon USA from Thorfire-Direct. You will have it in a couple days.

Add one to your cart, hit the checkout button and the price adjusts to 50.96

Sounded great but didn’t work that way for me. Still $72.80. Unless I’m missing something.

Just turn it off and it won’t be green anymore Wink

But yea, the Q8 is my most used light by far. I’ve actually bought 5 Q8’s (2 for me, 3 for friends), and every light was flawless.

Crap, I must have born under a bad sign. I can click all the way through until “place order” and the price remains the same. Bummer.

There are only a handful of lights I've ever reviewed where I had written the review and before I posted "something came up" that caused me to realize I had to scrap my review and start over because I wasn't doing the light justice.

I had a 2 hour "dog search" with the BLF-Q8 in some pretty rough country and it was amazing.

So the BLF-Q8 "Real World Review" is delayed until I am able to whip up prose adequate to the performance of the light.

Oh and as a side note. I know a lot of folks say go unprotected and so forth for max performance, but I have 4 of these EBL 18650 in my light and I've been very happy with how they are playing together.

I do recommend that you commit the batteries to the light as a set though just to keep the use balance equaled out 'cause on high power the light sure does draw on the cells hard.

Tonights forecast, 100% chance of dark.

My Q8 was a bit of a novelty for me until I swapped the XP-Ls for 219Cs. I’m always amazed at how everything pops out in the woods at night instead of just being a dull drab brown. Plus it’s still pretty damn bright (~3800 turn-on lumens).
