I always find it hard to come up with a new username, therefore I call myself ChibiM on many forums
Why did you guys choose your BLF username?
My reason:
I can't remember exactly how it started, but people called me Chibi Marco, after a Japanese cartoon character. So I used the abbreviated version: ChibiM
So, what is your reason?
I was driving one at the time & couldn’t think of anything better

A friend of mine at work once said I looked like a “ slim kango “ meaning kangaroo. Well it stuck so I figured might as well embrace it. Now I use it for all my forum names.
It’s been my cb handle since the “Smokey and the Bandit” days.

The youtube reviewer WeAllJuggleKnives used the phrase “eyeball fryer” in his Thrunite TN36 and TN36-UT reviews to describe the turbo mode.
My other hobby is FPV quad racing; even after several years I am not that good at it and, as I found out, it is one of the most expensive hobbies out there (parts, maintenance and crashes).
Also, I can’t fly when it is raining or windy, when I am working, can’t fly at night, can’t fly around most gov buildings or airports/above cars/vehicles/people/animals, etc… a ton of money for a few hours of flying each month.
anyway, that’s how I picked my username.

Ha , ha , ha..., stupid me , somehow I mistaken the user name (cera@1967) with the password I used on most of my devices and sites ( cause I always forget them !!!) ...
Cera is my wife name and 1967 is the year she was born.., in this way I can not forget the passwords !!! , unless I 'm going to get Alzheimer...

How did I come up with my username?
A couple of reasons...
I am a big fan of some Resident Evil video games, and the early ones took place in Raccoon City.
When RE4 came out, I longed for the days when the games took place in the United States.
Spoiler Alert: Raccoon City gets practically destroyed by the U.S. Government in the 1990's because it gets overrun by evil.
And I had a near-death experience in the 90's.
So it all sort of fits to call myself what I do.

I don't know why, but it looks like I never posted in this thread:

It’s where I spent most of my adult life.
There will always be more darkness than I have lights.
Years ago I needed a unique user name and I looked up and saw my toolbox, brand name Homak. So I combined my initials, DC with Homak, and voila! dchomak.
Interesting. I knew I had seen this kind of thread before, but a simple search didn't bring it up... oops.
So, let's call this the blf username thread #2
The Eneloop 2005-2022 info thread
Newlumen= finding and discover new lights. Transit from cpf.
That's all right.
The other thread has been dead for over five years, so a new one won't hurt anything.

No problem with a second thread!
Consider the word research. Usually research is thought of as quest to uncover new information, but the word re-search would suggest a second search for old information that has already been discovered before
I just did a re-search
and couldn't find that old thread.. raccoon city must have a good nose or a 6th sense...or something

I didn't search for the old thread, I bookmarked it!

I’ve probably been using skinny_tie as a username for 20 years.
Skinny Tie is a character from the song Skinny Tie Sensurround by the Scottish indie pop group Bis.
I certainly don’t want to be like the character, but I like the song and it popped into my head when I was trying to think of a username.
Nobody can blame you for NOT bookmarking the most important thread on BLF!!

Back in school around 1997, i used to drink this yoghurt drink everyday during lunch.
So one time my classmate called me yokiamy, which comes from yoki combined with my (degenerated) family name.
I’ve been using this nickname ever since.
Don’t drink it anymore though
mine was came from french navy gunboat
My friend owned several CRXs. They were fun to drive and surprisingly excellent in the snow.
We welded the doors shut on one and chopped the roof off. That one turned a lot of heads.
My name is Jos and 6 years ago I thought that ‘djozz’ sounded kind of cool. In the meantime I think that ‘Jos’ would have been perfectly ok.
link to djozz tests
It’s complicated…
But my name’s in there somewhere
Lights out! That's when things get interesting...
No not really, djozz is way cooler IMHO!

Upon the remarks that I do not sign off my PM’s as Henk, I have explained quite often that:
One fine morning a very dear (ex) colleague called me absent minded “Henk” two times in a row.
So I told her that I did not have any objections to be “Henk for you too” = Henk4U2.

I also use Kart17DD which was the number of my Son’s Kart when he raced and I was Direct Drive some of the time.

Back in 1994 I replaced the crappy suspension fork that came with my Giant Cadex CFM-3 with a Manitou 3 from Answer products. I always thought the Manitou 2 was funny (especially since it was a pink tou-2).
Since manithree is a made-up word, it’s almost always available and I use it everywhere.
