Continuation of the massive GT Group Buy Thread
[15 Aug 2018] There has been no real movement as far as Lumintop supporting the last few people who still have issues.
[6 July 2018] It seems that support and all issues related to the GT are transitioning from Neal to Leo at Lumintop. The new contact email for GT issues is leo@lumintop.com.
Bags and caps are still handled through Neal and he has said all the orders are sent and issues handled.
[8 June 2018] Lumintop has now officially listed the GT for sale on their website at a discounted price to move left over stock. I have no idea what will happen to the price or stock once the sell the quota they need.
[7 June 2018] All of the missing and current orders should have shipped the week of May 23rd. So they should now be on the way. A couple of the replacement lights have already shown up. If you are needing a replacement part due to a defect or damaged shipping please contact Neal to work out the details. His contact details are down below in post #30.
[8 May 2018] The official end date for the GB is on May 20th. At that time all codes and links for the GB will be closed and no further sales accepted. You will still be able to purchase all you want from the public links below.
[7 May 2018] The Short battery tubes for the GT are now offically for sale on Amazon USA for a limited time. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07C115KS6 Get them while they last. Anyone outside of the USA can order from Martin / Neals Deals.
[4 May 2018] The 4th batch of Group Buy PM's have officially been sent today! Check your inboxes here on BLF for them! This should cover people from 1426 to 1763 on the list (everyone). DO NOT SHARE THE LINKS in your personal message, you may only share the public link below. Post in this thread if you did not recieve your PM with ordering instructions.
[20 Apr 2018]
[18 Apr 2018] We want to thank everyone who donated in the first batches, The total member donations worked out to $875 after paypal fees. We distributed the donated funds among the 10 team members last week. On behalf of the entire Team, Thank you!
[18 Apr 2018] The 3rd batch of Group buy PM's have officially been sent today! Check your inboxes here on BLF for them! This should cover everyone from 1050 to a little over 1400 on the list. The next batch will be going out in a month or so for the remaining people on the list. DO NOT SHARE THE LINKS in your personal message, you may only share the public link below.
You have until May 3rd 2018 to pay for the 3rd batch GT. After this the group buy links will be disabled.
[17 Apr 2018] BLF public discount price sign up sheet is now active. We have worked a deal with Lumintop to allow BLF members to purchase a public sale GT at a discount from the full $325 retail price. Simply fill out the form below and you will be contacted with a link to a discounted price. There are still only 50 lights available total for the public at this time.
Public BLF GT discounted price sign up sheet
[16 Apr 2018] The public sale of the GT has officially opened! Anyone can now purchase a GT! Be warned though, there are only 50 lights available for public sale at this time, the rest are reserved for the Group buy.

[12 Apr 2018] The old survey list has been cleared out of past issues, anyone that still has an open issue please fill out a survey at this link: BLF GT outstanding issues survey
[10 Apr 2018] 3rd batch of PM's are only days away, we just have to sort out some technical difficulties.
[29 Mar 2018] Communication with China is much much better now and things are moving much smoother. We think most issues are sorted out now and are preparing for the next batch of orders. There will be many changes to the back end process of the orders this time around that should make things MUCH smoother. We expect all orders to be shipped within 2 weeks of paying for the order if all goes to plan (in other words I expect 95% of orders to ship within 2 weeks lol).
More details will follow as we sort out some final things. Expect the next batch PM within the next several days.
[23 Mar 2018] Neal and Lumintop are back in full contact now after CNY. We are sorting through issues and preparing for the next batch as quickly as possible. If you have an open issue please fill out the BLF GT outstanding issues survey
Please only fill out survey one time and only if you have already paid for an order and have an issue. Thanks.
[20 Mar 2018] Due to the old threads massive size it was causing the BLF server to break down and/or be very slow. Please subscribe to this new thread (bottom of post #1) or just post in it to be automatically subscribed. The old Thread will not be updated anymore..
[14 Mar 2018] Pi Day! M4D M4X is putting together a list of active issues for the GT. This is ONLY for those that have Placed an order and have an outstanding issues that needs to be addressed. This is NOT for tracking number requests, these will be handled separately. Please only fill this out if you have a real issue that needs to be addressed, I don’t want it to get bogged down with other stuff.
The results of this survey will be compiled into a list and sent to Neal to be addressed. Please be as specific as possible when filling it out but also try to keep to the important information to make it easier for Neal to understand. Remember, english is not his first language.

Once these issues are fixed we will proceed with the GB, shipping should be much faster since lumintop is stockpiling the reflectors.
[12 Mar 2018] Lumintop and Neal sent out the final 50 orders from the existing orders today, tracking numbers should hopefully be available by the end of the week.
[11 Feb 2018] Lumintop and Neal worked together to send off a final 185 lights before the Chinese new years celebration. China will be shut down for the next few weeks and we do not expect any updates or news until the end of the month. So please remain calm and hold your questions until the end of the month. At that time we will sort out the remaining orders that have not been shipped and try to deal with any outstanding issues. We expect to send out the next batch of PM’s around the end of the month’ish
[3 Feb 2018] Lumintop graciously agreed to pay for the extra shipping costs out of their own pocket to some countries. Our end of the deal is that we will charge these costs up front with the next batch of orders. Only the smaller / remote countries are effects for the most part.
[30 Jan 2018] The 3rd batch of payment PM’s will be postponed until after the China New year to minimize wait time. Plus nothing will happen until after it is over anyways.
[30 Jan 2018] Lumintop should have the registered mail issues sorted out and is hoping to ship most of the existing orders before the Chinese new year celebration that starts next week. This assumes that enough reflectors show up and they are good enough quality.
[29 Jan 2018] Click the link for information regarding the issues surrounding registered mail shipping.
[10 Jan 2018] The PM’s for this account “Team-Giggles” have been disabled for the time being as no one actively monitors them right now. Please contact Neal or Texas_Ace with any questions instead.
[6 Jan 2018] The Group Buy is officially closed! The lights will go on sale with the normal Lumintop outlets after the GB orders are complete sometime in the next few months. The retail price will be $250. Thanks to everyone that made this possible!
[5 Jan 2018] BREAKING NEWS The group-buy will end today. If you do not have ‘I want one post’ in this thread by the end of today (no idea which timezone], you will not be able to buy the GT at the group-buy price.
[5 Jan 2018] The official GT team user account takes over the top posts in this thread from TheMiller’s private user account.

[27 Dec 2017] The GT started to ship. Shipping will continue as they roll off the assembly line. Production rate is about 200 units per week. The first two batches shipped to the US (for logistical reasons).
From our omnipresent JasonWW:
I've started my own public list of those people who still have unresolved issues.
Let me know if you have an issue, but are not on this list.
If your issue has been resolved, again let me know and I'll remove you from the list. We are now down to 7.
GT:
sp5it - got damaged head, still waiting on response for replacement
zelee - got damaged head, still waiting on response for replacement
Bruno28 - waiting for replacement reflector
k125bw - waiting on replacement battery carriers
Dustynell - light not shipped due to address issues
Chito - got damaged head, no other details mentioned
Toppe - recieved battery tube, but not head.
Bag and caps:
p_dedy - didn't get battery refund or short tube
mmalive - ordered 2 bags, only got 1. Waiting for response.sunfire - missing one cap from order, Neal is sending it.
A few folks didn't get batteries and are waiting on refunds.

If your name is on the GT list and you haven't received your PM to purchase, post about it in the Main Thread. I will get in contact with you.
Neals padded bag is too large to fit into the GT box so those are shipped separately. Shipping times for that will be the slower China norm. For USA maybe 2 to 3 weeks.
Batch #4 PM's have been sent on May 4th. These are for the last 335 people on the list. (#1426 to #1763). There should be no shortage of lights, so everyone who signed up for one will get one.
I moved all the older shipment details to post #33.

Runtimes with 4 cells only:
MRsDNF:
Talking about things happening here is a run time chart with the BLF GT proto Narsil running Two Amps at the end of ramping.
The runs were stopped when the low voltage kicked in for the first time.
(This is a battery comparison at 2A. Note that the 3500mah cells have extended run times after it falls out of regulation, blue line.)
MRsDNF:
This chart is a comparison running the BLF GT on high, the original Narsil at 2.5 amps and the proto Narsil at 2 amps. Both runs were with 30Q batteries. (This test is only about comparing 2A runtimes to 2.5A. The 2A red line stays in regulation much longer.)
Texas_Ace:
Also remember that those runtime tests are with the short tube 4 cell version, 45 mins from 4 cells before even dropping out of regulation! That is properly good.
So expect about double that from a long tube with a full 8 cells.
About 1.5 hours of full powered runtime and another ~1.5 hours before it hits LVP.

Just for information:
sb56637 founded this forum.
The GT thread slowed the BLF server or the forum software. So this sequel thread should reduce the load.
I got a mail from Neal saying that my GT didn't ship yet and that it will be shipped this week. He said the same thing a few weeks ago
Yea but this time he meant it!
That thread is a beast and it brought back nightmares of using an old 14.4 modem on dialup. Very happy that we can bypass it, if it was really causing the slow blf traffic. Cheers SB!
MY Photonic Faux Phallus has arrived!
TY All Involved in this beautiful build!
BLF GT in the house finally. She is really heavy like a multi functional dumbbell.
Have faith with Neal and Lumintop, they are doing a tough job to fulfill all the 850 orders.
HAHAHA

i spit my drink on the tablet!

HAHAHA Got you!
She is King of my flashlights now.
I am too busy to give a proper update tonight but I just wanted to let you know first off it is possible this thread could need to be “restarted to give team-giggles more posts to organize the thread better, so don’t get too attached.
Also I have finally got in contact with Neal and lumintop and things are moving forward in a good direction. A lot is happening and a lot of issues being sorted out.
I hope that problems will start being fixed much faster now.

I’m a happily married man, and comfortable in my…Manliness, but Dengoh’s post has made me…envious..
FYI I’m sure most of you know this, but since this is a new thread, you are not subscribed to it. The OP (post #1) has a handy subscribe button at the bottom (all you have to do is find it).
The old thread was causing the entire BLF server to crash so the admin was forced to split the thread to keep the entire BLF site working properly. I would have preferred a single thread myself.
I will deal with this thread more in the morning. It needs some clean up.

To be honest, I hadn’t posted in the GT thread for a long time, and I had no idea it was so insanely slow to post to. How long has it been like that? I hadn’t really received any complaints about it until very recently.

It has been getting steadily worse for the last several weeks. It happened all the sudden a few weeks back, around the time you were running maintenance on the site come to think of it. I had figured at the time you were trying to fix the thread.

Ya, the sluggishness happened since like one to two weeks ago. Feels like it cross certain size of file or memory boundary that is doomed, or someone(not necessary you) made changes to something that cause it.
if u still not receive the GT or no tracking
pls PM me.
Hey Neal, how’s it going? Great to hear from you.
