It is possible there will be a shortage but if the drop out rate from the first batches holds for the final batch, there will be enough to go around for everyone.

Is there a waiting list for late arrivals to get on and hope for a leftover?

I am sorry but the the cutoff is final at this time. Anyone not on the list is welcome to purchase the GT at the public price that will be going live tomorrow most likely.

The test PM’s should be sent tonight or tomorrow and if that goes well then payment PM’s will follow shortly after.

So will I get both an email and a pm here when the test PM’s go out?

Have faith with Neal and Lumintop, they are doing a tough job to fulfill all the 850 orders.

Well, you should get an email letting you know you have a PM unless you disabled emails on BLF.

It looks like the new public price will be $299 as opposed to $325. This is the new price I see on Lumintops Aliexpress store. I don’t know if that is final or if they will change it again in a couple days.

Some changes apparently happened while I was in bed last night to the public sale side of things. I will have to wait until I talk to Neal and lumintop before saying anything else.

It’s the same store that used to have them for $399. Then the price was $325 for a while, then I noticed it was $299.

It currently says ship out time is 7 days. So maybe they are taking orders now, but not shipping until next week. Idk, I just thought it was interesting.

Ps, DHL shipping to the USA is $83!

We have been trying to work a deal for BLF members to get a “group discount”, not like the first prices batch prices but better then full retail. If this goes through we will start a sign up sheet for people to get in line for the discounted public price soon.

This has caused some delays in the public sales but if it is approved I am sure that many will be happy with the discount compared to full retail.

It is still in the works, I will post more when I know more.

Although I can confirm that lumintop has set a cutoff of ~2 weeks from when the PM’s are sent for people to pay. The script had an error last night so we are going to try again but the PM’s should be going out any day now.

Sounds like a good deal, but can you confirm the original group buy batches will be shipped out before we start worrying about creating more lists?

That was what I understood but I thought I picked up a hint of a chance in your comment about drop outs. No worries.

We have 400 lights reserved for this batch of the GB and 50 lights for the public. They will not interferer with the GB orders. Also all 450 lights are in stock sitting on the shelves at lumintop, so there will not be the long waiting game this time around. I am guessing ~2 weeks for most orders to be shipped.

They have the reflectors for the next and final batch on order and they are told they should be in around the end of April or early may but take that with a gain of salt based on past experiences.

I have filled in again, since I haven’t heard of any update on my bad reflector for over a month. I was told I would get a replacement sent to me by Neal.

Is Neal on radio silence again?

I sent a PM to Neal 48 hours ago, still no answer
I wanted to know if there was any news about the shipment of the pending batteries and the short tube
He told me he’d send them in one package

Should I fill out the survey again?

Sorry for my bad English (gogole transtorla)

You can fill it out again, it makes it easier to keep track of issues.

It is the weekend in China now, so I am sure that is playing a role. I generally do not hear much out of china from Friday night to Monday.

I just filled out the survey.

I sent the PM on Wednesday at 13:00 GMT, if I’m not mistaken it would be 21:00 China time on the same Wednesday.
I hope he has not started the same game and he answers PM.

Last I heard they sent out package traces on most of these orders over the last week or 2. It generally takes at minimum 14 days to get a response and usually closer to 30 days. I am betting they are waiting on the results of the trace before resending. Although I have not asked them about this yet.

This is some mockery. You are specifically prolonging this process to allow time for a dispute over PP. I filled in the survey earlier, I wrote PM – no answer. Now I have to fill the survey again ?! You can not be accustomed to the error that packages have been sent anyhow and have been destroyed or lost. Real, self-respecting companies take care of the client. It’s different here. Banggood does not discuss with the client – 60 days have passed, the package has not arrived, it is sent a second time. Respected clients gladly return to such a store. What is done here is a mockery of the client. I wrote that I was dissatisfied because I did not get a paid flashlight, I was challenged that I was to be ashamed! You should be ashamed that you are organizing an action that you can not finish reliably! It was predictable that there will be problems, but a reliable company knows about it and has it included in the costs.
Be ashamed!

This has nothing to do with paypal and I am not dragging anything out.

The old survey was cluttered up with all sorts of issues and the vast majority of them were fixed. It was very hard to find any issues that were still “active”. So I decided to clear the list and start fresh to only get the issues that are outstanding. This was done to speed up the process, not slow it down.

It only takes a minute to fill it out.

Far as me being ashamed. I am doing the absolute best I can with what I have. I am nothing more then a middleman for a company that does not speak english naturally and trying to keep the best outcome for all parties in mind.

I agree, that a replacement should be shipped after 60 days. I was under the impression that is what they planned to do. I only learned that this did not happen for multiple people a few days ago and have not been able to get a good answer as to why yet. No one seems to know who is in charge of this side of things.

I am doing the best I can, I am on the other side of the planet from the factory, Lumintop, Neal and anything having to do with the GT.

There is a large language barrier and time barrier between me and them. I generally only get maybe an hour to talk to them at night before bed and even then that has had me getting 4-5 hours of sleep on a regular basis the last few weeks trying to sort out issues and prepare for the next rounds.

So no, I do not feel ashamed in the slightest about anything I have done with this GB. I have done everything in my power to keep this GB on track.
