Hi from Ontario, Canada

Long time listener and first time caller here from Ontario, Canada.

I’ve always been a gadget lover, even from a young age, and flashlights are no exception. When I was just a boy I remember purchasing a incandescent Pelican 2-AAA light that I wanted to be able to use underwater. At that age any gadget that was truly “Waterproof” was a thing to desire. I also had my own incandescent 2-AA Mini Maglite with its black nylon belt holster. Some years later I owned an incandescent Maglite Solitaire, which I distinctly recall having a battery life of merely minutes, but a beautiful tint nonetheless.

I’ve now decided to join here after years of on-and-off browsing, as I am starting to become interested in modifying some of my lights and I have exhausted the search button so now I will need to start asking some of the questions myself.

I’ve gone through a year of AAA obsession, but am now more focused on 18650 lights, and recently purchased my first thrower: a Thorefire C8s

I wish I still had those old incandescents from my childhood, but alas they are lost to time…

I hope you have fun here, PrestonEDC!

Thanks for the welcome! Here are my AAA lights so far (also testing image posting ability!):

Glad you’re aboard PrestonEDC. Enjoy the ride.
I was going to warn you with the whole “Protect your wallet!” and “Abandon all hope ye who enters here.” mantra but judging by that pic I’d say you passed the point of no return a long, long time ago.

Hi and welcome Preston.

Welcome aboard fellow Ontarian. This place is a treasure trove of information to help you learn how to mod that Thorfire and make it shine even further. Beware of the rabbit hole, it is deep.

Welcome to BLF PrestonEDC.

Hey how are you doing man? And welcome to BLF!

Welcome from Ottawa.

NeutralFan, nope just a saying I used to hear a lot on various radio stations growing up - not so often heard anymore!
